Take that Indiana! Yes sir we done bought us some good players last year. Wonder how many of these kids are taking pay cuts to go pro. That’s one great pay for play system college sports has going on it’n it? Amateurs making more than pro’s.
I'm not sure what "slot value " is, but it sounds like a lot of these guys could make more in NIL than professional baseball—meaning right now.
mlb had an agreed upon standard based upon draft position what the player should be paid. Teams have a budget to go above that for a player at certain slots.
You make a good point. I tried to find information on what baseball players make in NIL and what I found is that it is generally not very much, but no specific data.
