I logged on to check for typically illuminating posts and this strange format change seems to have happened. I'm typing mostly to see if I can still access posts and post for myself.

I was going through the Braves 2026 thread and there were fairly recent replies to older posts that would not have been evident had I not been looking through the thread..
I just think this way of responding (by clicking the quotation marks ["] under the name of the post your are quoting, keeps the flow of the conversation going better and folks won't feel like their replies are going unread or unappreciated!
the quotation marks under your name (in white) is the button to which I was referring. if you pass your indicator over those marks, you will see that it is a "quote" button
I know we aren't supposed to discuss other Dawg forums, but they really pulled the rug out from under us. Didn't even tell the mods and admins it was coming. That tells me they (the forum owners) knew this was going to be a huge degrade and people would hate it.
What other UGA forums are out there that you use? I'm pretty much done with this mess.
I am trying to figure out how to make this one work, but beginning to think it might be impossible to do so. The juice might not be worth the squeeze. Exploring the other options, I am.

I'm very sorry you feel this way, @pgjackson, but what you are saying here is not accurate.
This new build was for every site that our hosting company maintains. They've been reviewing it with our team all summer.
It was just a matter of when to launch it.

I see one remaining bug on the desktop, which is the unread comments don't refresh when I come out of a discussion and back to the Home page. But I've found that if I refresh my Home page again, it resets which discussions I still have unread posts in. Thought that might help some folks.
Y'all sprung it on us unannounced. Didn't even tell the mods and admins. They were just as confused and surprised as the rest of us. This new format is a total mess. I'm moving on to other forums. I have a feeling this update is going to kill the forum.

Are you saying that you go back to the Home page and refresh that page? If so, I think that works, but it sure is a long way around to fix a problem which should not be there.
Anyway, I think it works. We'll see how well that works in the live Game Day thread.
We need a little tutorial to bring up to speed all the fans and trolls who come out only for that conversation. They are going to be totally lost without such a tutorial.
I always hit the Discussions at the top twice and it updates. I never hit Home as you have to scroll back to the top of the page. Discussions is always at the top in the header.
That is just too funny!
I, for one, would laugh hysterically at once a week negadawgs trying to post and not being able to work this site!
