Georgia was originally set to face Louisville this season, with the game being scheduled for Sept. 19 in Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville would then repay the favor by traveling to Athens in 2027.

I think he'll be rather pleased that he didn't have to play Georgia this year and next.
I don't like Brohm at all. He's a Lane Kiffin wannabe. Has the worst traits of the Missouri coach, Drinkwitz. Louisville is also a second tier football school. They never beat anyone good. They will rack up some wins against other second tier teams, then get run out of the stadium when they play a top 20 school. They've had a couple of pretty good scrambling QBs, but that's about it. So I look forward to the UGA football team filling his mouth with nasty stuff when they play middling Arkansas, where no coaches really survive.
Who cares. I'm sure Brohm wanted to play Georgia, because there's no negative for him. Everyone expects him to lose, but if he comes close or wins, then he wins. It's a lose lose for Georgia.

Huh? How does adding neutral site games instead of home and home series add home games? How about you do your job scheduling and PLAN not to have a year with fewer home games than you desire?
Here's an idea Josh, make the Florida game home and home. That would be 1 less neutral site game every season and one more home game every other year.
Had the UGA/FU game been a home game this year a Louisville away game would have been "better" (more home games in '26 and '27) than 2 neutral site games in '26 and '27. Clearly playing a neutral site game ($$$) every year for an SEC game is handicapping UGA's home game schedule prospects.
UGA shedding Louisville to pick up TN St is a bad look for UGA. Lends credence to CR's article today on DN about UGA not being a top tier team this season.
Hopes Louisville has a very good season and plays UGA in the playoffs. Let's see how scared of them GA is. LOL
He’s probably right. Unlike Tennessee, Vandy, Alabama, Auburn, Miss State, Ole Miss and many others, UGA is tied to non conference ACC game as their rival. Then there’s the neutral site game. Take those away and there’s more flexibility.

I'm with you. I love UGA but that doesn't mean they can't be criticized. Brooks' explanation just sounds disengenuous to me. If Ga./Fla. were home-anbd-home (which I am not in favor of), that would bring a home game to Athens every other year. And adding neutral-site games have nothing to do with the numbrer of home games, so I don't get it. I'm all in favor of just calling it like it is — dropping Louisville and picking up Tennessee State makes it easier for UGA to get into the college football playoffs. Just admit it, and move on.
i think it’s also a product of the 9 game sec schedule. When these cupcake games start doing bad ticket sales we will see those marquee matchups return
