Over the last 2 years Pugs has convinced many of us he is not the next guy up. If he is next we take a big step backwards. Time to face reality....
Sure would like to see some type of change of pace/RPO/red zone package with Buddha. He definitely brings a skillset we haven’t seen in a while.
He hasn’t convinced me of that. Yes, there were some off passes early but he looked good when he settled in and ran the offense well. He has done his time and I am lost on how suddenly people are anti-Puglisi.
I take nothing away from Montgomery but remember, he was playing against backups and on his long pass, while absolutely pretty, the defender got burned. Bell was wide open.
Pud started slow but ultimately showed that rocket arm. Clearly the strongest arm in that room. Montgomery wasn’t given enough reps imo. He did throw a beautiful throw to Bell for the TD. Conner calls that the best throw of the game. While I agree, one has to admit that Pug had three really good throws from the hash bark to the opposite of the field. It takes a really strong arm to make those throws. Budds is a threat running and also has a good arm. While the competition was extremely poor, I thought they all looked good. Of course, I have no idea how any of the backups would perform against really good teams with the pressure on.
Please ignore my typos. If we still had the edit feature, they would have been corrected. 😉
Seriously, what is that circle with the three dots on the right and the "hidden" gear?
