Let's be realistic here. Gunner is just not the Heisman "type". He's not flashy or loud or dynamic or a media "Darling". I'll take Gunner as he is—a winner and a very good football player and leader of men from our own Rabun County.

Heisman is irrelevant in the State of Georgia....Lol. They've been suspect...imo….since passing on Walker in his Freshman Season (1980).
Freshmen didn't qualify prior to that period...cause, Freshmen didn't play. Yet, that's the silly reason they gave, for not giving "the best football player in the Country"...The Heisman Trophy.
We should've created our own Award/Trophy…decades ago. No tume like the present. .How bout a Butts Award....or Dodd Trophy.
Something that focuses on what the Heisman used to focus on....and doesn't treat the ACC & SEC as second class Institutions.
