Well with any luck ( and Allot of coaching) the Dawgs defense will learn not to set back and try to run out the clock.
O line Dawgs need to PROTECT Gunner!!!
Well, still waiting on some proof Stockton and his receivers can push the ball vertically down the field against an SEC foe...at some point, against some opponents, we will have to...OL will need to stiffen up and protect better.
The announcers are Saying what some of us are Thinking. And that is the Dawgs O is vanilla on purpose. I believe we will see an improvement from the Dawgs Defense after the half. Ark. played the Utes on the road. This is Ark.’s home ground. Of course they will do their all to defend it. Some adversity will help our young Dawgs grow. OU will be a tougher opponent.

So far, DAWGS look like they are playing intentionally conservative- at least I hope because it doesn’t look very dominating. O line looks suspect but not sure why. I may be off but the right tackle looks a bit slow when dropping into pass block. Running backs and tight ends look great and Stockton clearly has his wheels greased. Agree with many of the posts pointing out the prevent nature of the defense on that last drive. Let’s lock it down in the 2nd half. Go DAWGS!

Why are we throwing the ball first and goal from the two?
Like many Dawgs fans I would like to see GS air one out deeep to maybe Reddell or Williams for a completion. Don’t know how deep it was but he had a nice pass to Dandrige early in the game. Coach Bobo might keep it on the ground mixed with screen passes all game though. I guess he’s keeping his cards close to his chest. Go Dawgs !!
we WANT to throw the ball downfield but our receivers simply cannot get any separation. Stop me if you’ve heard this before.
I’ll have to say I love how GS is getting down at the end of his runs now. We don’t need him to show his manliness - he has shown tons of that - we need him to move the chains and definitely stay healthy!
What is up with the weak pass blocking? I get Arkansas is stunting quite a bit but GS seems to be under duress quite a bit.
