Georgia opened as a road favorite over Alabama but the betting line quickly shifted in favor of the Crimson Tide in Saturday's 7"30 p.m. showdown in Tuscaloosa.

AL should be favored at home. Either team can win this one but AL is hard to beat at home. I will be there to cheer on the Dawgs!
I’m actually happy we are the “underdogs” prior to the game as long as we are the “top dogs” at the end of the night. GO DAWGS!!!
Oddsmakers are right. UGA keeps having bad quarters. Secondary out of place. Defensive ends don't get home. Gabe Harris doesn't look the same. They better work their butts off if they want to compete.
Must use Phillips like we did Z Branch last year. Very talented and very fast.
"Georgia opened as a 1.5-point favorite over Alabama on Sunday morning, but by the time Kirby Smart and his players turned in for bed they were in the role of underdog."
I can see giving the edge to the home team in an evenly matched game like this one. Everything is a factor in a high-profile matchup, and the line could move back and forth throughout the week. Those with an appetite for gambling will pay close attention, but going into Tuscaloosa as an underdog doesn't change anything that UGA must do to come home with a victory.
GO DAWGS!

Dawgs should be the underdogs in Tuscaloosa. Turnovers and whichever team controls the LOS wins this game. Both teams ranked in the Top 10 for turnovers gained. Bama averaged 7.9 yards per play against MS State, and they rushed for 179 yards. Unlike last season, the Tide has a two-headed effective running game. Most importantly, if the Dawg's pass rush can't effect Russell while also containing him, Dawgs are in for a long afternoon. Pretty evenly matched teams, but I give the edge to Bama at home. Our secondary hasn't played consistently well, and guys are out of position at key times. Russell has a very accurate arm and nimble on his feet. Gotta clean up some things this week.
Bama came into Athens as an underdog last year and ended our 33 game home winning streak. Vegas has done their part and made us the underdog, time to pay. Let’s go pups!
@JimmiesNJoes...you so right. I had forgotten Bama spoiled our home party last season when we should have beaten them. Pretty unnerving considering how mediocre their team wzs last year. But I also don't think Kirby has gotten the Bama curse off his back completely. A win for Kirby in Tuscaloosa could do it. But honestly, I am not holding my breath. I think Bryant-Denny - at night - is a more hostile environment than Sanford Stadium.
Go Anaconda Dawgs !! Squeeze the life out of the Tide !! NO Games for Either team mean Anything before This game. All the stats read and reread and went over under a microscope don’t mean anything. When the last tick of the clock is gone Then we will know.
I’m like @BubbaBill I’m actually Glad that our Dawgs are considered the underdogs !! They always seem to play better when that happens.
A brief look back at the Vandy game. The “fortuitous” bounce to Luckie. OK scratch that TD off the record book. But add the very probable TD after Bo Walker’s long run down to the ten yd. line !! At a bare minimum easy chip shot FG for Woodring.
Please keep heaping praise on the Bama QB. Keep whispering to him how great he is. Was Bama all that great or was Miss. St. a paper tiger ? Was the Dawgs defense caught looking past Vandy to This game ? Which QB has played on bigger stages before the current Bama QB or Gunner Stockton @ UGA ?
I Love that Some folks are automatically chalking a loss for the Dawgs !! That’s when they are the most dangerous !! There’s Nothing that fans or “media experts” saw vs Vandy that Kirby Smart and his coaching staff Didn’t see except the annoying TV advertisements !! SO I’m gonna Believe in the Dawgs I Love and Trust Kirby and staff to guide them !! Go Dawgs !!
Maybe I missed it? What's the new betting line?
@MontanaDawg Sort of hard to tell which stadium is more intimidating as for some strange reason Dawgs don’t get many night games. It’d be nice to see a “big game” at Sanford stadium at night. I believe our fanbase can be just as loud and proud as any out there. Go Dawgs !!
I had stated right before the season that I hoped that our defense would be able to do a better job of containing the opposition QB and I still have that concern. There were several plays last Saturday where the d applied very good pressure and moved the QB of his spot but instead of forcing him into the middle he was able to break contain and continue the play. With an athletic QB like Russell this could be a huge issue. Also a new concern is our secondary. Know it’s a tuff position to play but several times Saturday there was obvious confusion and at least two times a complete bust where no one even tried to cover a wide open receiver. Don’t think in our fifth game this confusion should be happening. Not really worried about the offense, although playing Bama in T town is obviously a big challenge. I do think we will need to score least 35 points to come away with a win but think we can do that. Go Dawgs!
"softballcoach"—-The last I saw-UGA+1.5.
surprised Bama is only a 1.5 point favorite. Expect it to reach at least 3 by game time. Also like the Dawgs being the underdog.
they opened as a 2.5 dog and the line has already moved them to the favorite.
