Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer praised Georgia QB Gunner Stockton for his clutch play in Georgia's 20-17 win over the Crimson Tide.

Well said! I felt that exact same way about the broadcast while watching that game. Felt like muting the TV.
As I get closer to my ninth decade, it is very satisfying to see the abundance of observers and scribes in Dawgnation! Well said, all!
Yeah I had to mute the TV on those two 🤡🤡 early in the first qtr. They were drooling over all things Bama mainly Saban. I wonder if Bama will want a rebate on the $500K they pay Saban as an advisor ? No tears from me about a no call on a PI. Dawgs and other SEC teams have been screwed over So many times by the Refs in support of the “ Saban Legacy”. Let Em cry. Our Dawgs beat them In Their House !! Go Dawgs !!
Gunner was fantastic. Some of the throws he made were incredibly difficult throws but were on the money. Peanut and Bo didn’t surprise me. I’ve been begging for both Peanut and Bo to get more touches. Peanut is slippery and fast. Bo runs hard with purpose. As always in a SEC game, the officiating was less than stellar, but overall the Dawgs got the worse of that incompetence. The blatant holding by Bama’s 55 on their lone TD pass not being called made me wonder if we haven’t heard Bama fans amittcould possibly win even though it was obvious we were the better team. Bama’s OL held all night long. The no-call PI on Bolton was a bang-bang play on an uncatchable pass - severely under thrown. Bama fans throwing stuff on the field makes them the same classless folks as Texas. Throwing bottles at our players after the game enables them to actually be even more classless than Texas - not an easy bar to hurdle. The SEC should fine Bama for such inappropriate conduct. Will they? Probably not. Why? We all know the answer to that question. The Dawgs dominated every statistical category, including total penalty yards - clearly the better team. Lastly, Tyler Simmons was not offsides in a National Championship game as opposed to a regular season game. Haven’t heard a Bama fan say we deserved that Natty. Have hard them say we shouldn’t complain.
sorry for insertion in first paragraph. But no editing possible. Frustrating.
Gunner and Peanut played great last nite. But let's give a lot of love for the offensive line and tight ends! Those big boys stepped up BIG TIME!
Agreed. As they saw on the hilarious Dr. Pepper ad, "Cry me a river." Go Dawgs!
Luck is part of any successful season. Both teams saw their share of it last night. GS was lucky (2nd INT call reversed) but he also played well. Two markedly superior productions in the last 2 games to previous efforts. Though that laser to TE Williams, on critical 3rd down into double coverage, while Luckie was wide open at the 3rd down marker seemed a bit too unnecessary chance to take in that situation. Worked out but high risk/low probability throw. As I have said, GS's ceiling is UGA's '26 ceiling.
It looks like we could see AL/UGA 3 times this year. Still a scary thought considering Russell did not play that well (ran well) and AL led at half time and had a good chance to pull the game out late.
UGA's 3rd down D was abysmal. The only performance worse than UGA's DB's performance (DB's out of position, Bolton grabbing the facemask on gang tackle loss, Dinkins should be 2nd or 3rd team, Bolton interference non call) was the referee's performance. It is a good thing TRob and DWill are good recruiters because UGA DB's underperform relative to talent levels. Worst coached position group on the team.
UGA penalties uncharacteristic and concerning. 2 TD's called back. And some really unintelligent plays by UGA. SWH trying to field a bouncing punt in traffic inside the 10? Bolton grabbing the RB facemask when the RB is being gang tackled by 4 UGA defenders? These guys spend hours every week in classroom and practice. Should know better.
The loser of last night's game is behind the eight ball to win the SEC though TX's loss may allow AL to play in the SECCG. UGA is definitely in the driver's seat. Good, important, gritty win that will mean something to GS's and other young players in other upcoming big games.
Broadcast announcers were decidedly pro alabama. It was hard to listen to. And Jared Curtis played the whole game yesterday. He must be Superman. He only missed 1 game with a "sprained knee" . Frazier has missed 3 games w/a sprained ankle?
I watched Deboer's press conference after the game and, notwithstanding the fact he went berserk at the end of the game (as would have Smart), he comes across as a classy guy. I can only imagine the comments on this site if that no call had gone against Georgia :)
I thought Gunner made some mistakes. THe first interception we held them and the defense stymied them. THe bad throw on the roll out right when we had a guy open for a big gain. THe almost interception wasn't even close to the receiver. But other than that he was pretty clutch.
BAMA's defense is pretty darn good and our O-line played their tails off. THey have some dudes over there. THeir huge TE was laying the wood to our edge rushers, That DE that looks like 300 pounds with 10% body fat is scary looking. They have made improvements in the toughness dept. I'm thankful Russell didn't run more than he did.
We've all grown weary over the years of the partial officiating in BAMA's favor especially when Nick was coaching. Now maybe it has come full circle.
For anyone intersted I think the Film Guy Brooks Austin on YT gave an excellent synopsis of the game and really bragged on our O-line saying they should win the Award for best O-line.
