Georgia issued its first SEC-mandated injury report of the week on Wednesday night heading into the game with Auburn on Saturday.

Well, I hate that about Bolden….I'm sure they will play him if he is able, but I am sure glad that Nate is still not on the injury list.
Maybe he will be well enough to get some snaps to spell Phillips and Walker this week.
I noticed that Wiley is not on the list, but I heard that something was going on with him but I don't know what. Anybody know?
We will need all hands on deck this week…..don't anticipate to rough of a go with Auburn …. our D should stop any rushing attack they come up with and with Gunner, our tight ends and WRs playing as they have been, I really like our chances especially with Nate, Phillips and Walker being back. And Lemar and Peal of course!
Go Dawgs!
Great big headline and not a word on what his actual injury might be. Of course it did say it was a surprise. lol. Hopefully he will play.
@georgiajeepn2019 They don't release what the injury is and Kirby did not mention it in his press conference on Monday. We no longer have Wednesday SEC coaches teleconference each week — it's every three weeks. KJ didn't show any sign of injury during the game that I saw, and practices are closed so we have no way of reporting from there or seeing what his availabiity was in practice. I would guess Kirby, and other coaches, still want to keep as much injury information close to the vest as possible so as not to tip off the other coaches. As it is, the SEC coaches did not like having to do an availlability report, but the SEC is in favor of it because of the pressures the student-athletes and their families face from people in the gambling community to try to get updates on their status.
@Bdw3184 Another way to look at it is that with a bye week coming up, if you can get a player two weeks worth of rest and only miss one game, you'll do it. Like Frazier and his ribs — unless they are completely healthy, I would not be surprised to see him very limited or used only in emergency situation so he can get healthier — UGA could have as many as 10 games left after the bye week.
I actually noticed two trainers helping Bolden off the field on the sidelines at one point during the fourth quarter, but he returned to the game so I didn't think a lot about it, but I did have it in the back of my mind. Didn't Kirby even mention something during his post-game presser about Bolden being nicked up? Whatever. We clearly don't get the unvarnished truth about UGA injuries. Even the injury reports themselves are sparse. I am surprised that Canion is listed as "out" since Kirby said after Saturday's game that they were expecting him to be available for Alabama until near the end of the week. With all the treatment they supposedly get, it's like Georgia players somehow manage to GET WORSE the farther away they get from their initial injury instead of better. Both Frazier and Bowens played in the same game they were injured in, then Kirby told us after the game they could have gone back in, but then the next week they're ruled completely out. We didn't really hear about Bolden, and now he's questionable. Yet, the Alabama tight end starts and plays the entire game less than a week after surgery for a broken arm. smh
I hate that anybody gets injured. Anybody on any team.
Yes, I know football is contact sport.
Go, Dawgs!
I don't disagree at all with you on this……just thinking that Phillips, Walker and the others might need some assists, rest etc. this week as Auburn always plays us tough ….sure don't think that we need to take them for granted and it would seem that a little involvement in plays wouldn't hurt Frazier either…..Might help get his "legs" back under him to ready himself for the long stretch that awaits!
I agree. And, as I look across the CFB landscape....one thing stands out to me. Gunner Stockton is one of the few "Top QB's" not questionable or nursing an injury at the Season's halfway point.
That's one Tough SOB….Imo. Elite! I pray it stays that way. I'd hate to see that kid setback from an injury. Any of em, for that matter.
All-in-all....I think the Dawgs are in about as good a shape as they've ever been after game six. Better, actually. With a Bye Week in front of the Florida Game....they should be ready to turn it loose on the Gators. That's gonna be fun to watch. Lol
Go Dawgs
Twice as many injury outs as Auburn...wow.
Once we hit the 24 team playoff next season, last team standing with the most key playmakers left gets the Trophy...
I think the Dawgs are playing the long game, this year. In an attempt to have more juice in January. They say "injury"....when they really mean precaution and rest. It ain't time to turn it up, yet.
Lol...and with their 2026 depth....they can afford to play it any way they want to. The Dawgs will walk away with the Natty...standing up and doin' a jig....while everybody else is layin' down out of gas. The other teams I see at the top...are working Hard Overtime, trying to do what the Dawgs seem to do effortlessly.
How much actual playing time has UGA's "starters" racked up, compared to the other Top Ten Teams? I know for a fact, Stockton hasn't played enough for the Stat Worshipers to take notice of his efficiency and toughness.
I would bet, Gunner has less playing time than anybody on the Heisman Watch-list....but, with comparable "Stats" in percentages and "per play profit"...etc.. I've always said....it doesn't matter how many yards you have. What matters is....How many Yards "Per" Catch or Run do you have. And....how/when did you get those yards or sacks or TD's?
For instance....there are probably ten "Jeremiah Smith's" around the league, that could do what he's doing in an Offense designed around his talents. I'm not taking anything away from his accomplishments. Smith's execution is almost flawless and awesome to watch.
Just pointing out that hyperbole usually short circuits reality, when evaluating players and teams. Lol....I'm getting sick of the "Best Ever Lists" ESPN's puppets come out with every year....with an OSU, Alabama, Texas, Miami, Florida or Notre Dame Player sitting on Top....to ease the pain of the current Season's failures. They seem to shamelessly patronize those fan-bases beyond reason....every year. As if...Lol
@DallasDawg He mentioned Jaden Reddell being nicked up … that would have been my guess for injury report addition. I saw video of KJ walking off field with leg wrapped, but such precautionary measures are commonly taken for bumps/bruises/mild injuries… seeing the "Questionable" tag caught me a bit off guard — but it makes sense when you consider KJ's snap count and the upcoming bye week and potential load of games ahead. Kirby is ALWAYS managing the roster and working to keep his teams healthy. As he says, UGA isn't working to win one game, they plan and work to win ALL OF THEM
@Bdw3184 I almost wonder if Georgia might spread things out an air it out a bit the way Gunner is pitching the ball around th yard — the guy is on fire, and that last game definitely changed my perspective from the standpoint of where I think his ceiling might be!
@BigDawg61 It's funny you say that, I recall when covering Alabama Tennessee in the 1990s when practices were open I was accused of hyperbole when writing about how great a couple of running backs looked…… at the time, I took what Coach Stallings and Coach Fulmer were saying seriously when they chewed me out (back then there was a lot more interpersonal interaction, as we saw them 4 days a week and one-on-ones were common). This is where I tell you those two backs I was hyping up were Sean Alexander and Jamal Lewis …. ha! I only got Kirby once on this kind of thing when, on a Zoom call, I asked him what it meant that he could have as many as 15 players taken in the NFL Draft, and Kirby said something to the effect that if UGA had 15 players drafted I could call him a liar. I never did, of course, even though UGA did have 15 drafted because I think Kirby, with his wizard-like control of media narrative, wanted his comments to get blown out of proportion so more attention would come of that class. I didn't need to a "proved Kirby wrong" narrative to write it — I've written it 100 times, and it's something that people should recall and take heed of. In this NIL narrative, that draft class will be hard to match!
Playing in the SEC ain’t easy from a physical standpoint. That’s a big factor come playoff time. Teams like ND and OSU are not as physically taxed during the regular season. Heck, ND’s schedule is ridiculously easy. If they lose 1 Gabe, they shouldn’t make the playoffs. Of course, we know they’ll make the playoffs with 2, maybe 3 loses. Yeah, it crazy.
Great comments Mike !! All of them !! Yes Kirby is indeed a master at roster management. His track record of winning games With guys out injured shows that. UGA is also blessed to have one of if not The best trainers in the business in Dr. Ron Courson.
As I understand it he has wrote medical manuals that are used throughout CFB by other trainers. He always puts the players first and will not let them return if he thinks there’s any danger in aggravating the injury. The parents and family of players see this and appreciate it I’m sure ! The players want to play, Even when it might not be in their best interests.
If the Dawgs can post a W on Auburn and without any injuries making it to the Bye will be Huge. Dawgs are a banged up team at the moment.
