Ga looses to an unranked 20 point underdog at home . No excuse just pathetic .
Even if we had won, it was definitely the worst game I've seen in a long time from the Dawgs. We absolutely beat ourselves and that late hit penalty was just icing on the cake. Stockton was all over the place and could've had more interceptions. Lots of questionable decisions which is unusual for him and I think Smart should've put in Puglisi once it felt that his decision making was compromised. Our defense was awful. How many times were we going to let that QB get runs of 7+ yards. How many missed tackles? Glad we have that week off. At least Bama and Texas both got their 2nd losses. I think we needed a reality check and if we had squeaked out a win we probably would've remained over-confident.
Sorry for posting again so quickly, but I really want to say that while I love Nate Frazier's passion and hustle, I really believe that we would have won today if he had not played at all. Phillips clearly is our best running back right now but because Frazier was ready to play, Bobo and the offensive coaches kept trying to get him started, and I think that hurt us. He would gain 1 or 2 yards on a carry, and then Phillips would run the same play and gain 4, 5, 6 yards. I think trying to play Frazier kept Phillips from getting into a good rythym like he had at Bama. Still, Go Dawgs!
Worst loss of Kirby's career.
Ok so what's the premise here? Kirby Smart, who hadn't lost to Auburn in about a decade, knew all week that he had no idea how to prepare his team to beat Auburn. So instead of even trying be busy went straight to preemptively making excuses?
I know people can say things when emotions run high, since of that is understandable. But a lot of the crap y'all are saying is just ịdiotic.
What happened to the edit button?
This was reminiscent of Richt era. Lots of penalties (including 3 personal fouls!), poor tackling, and questionable effort from just about everyone. Complete organizational failure.
Maybe with a week off the dawgs can rest a bit, re-focus, practice some fundamentals, and treat it like a new season. One loss is not the end of the world.
Gunner was hurt after the first bone headed play call leaving the QB exposed and with only one blocker. I think he shouldn’t have come back in as soon as he did. Puglisi looked good on the drive. Not saying Gunner shouldn’t have played at all, but the interceptions and the fumble looked like terrible effects of his head hitting the ground on that very first play. Our defense didn’t play well without Bolden. I think he would have made a difference. Plus, the D was gassed due to the 3 turnovers and 3 and outs we had. Rest, heal and please beat those lousy stinking gaytors!
Kirby stressed that they were tired and beat-up. What did he and the staff do to during the week to give them some rest? A terrible excuse and terrible coaching if true. I think Gunner was dazed and confused for most of the game. We needed short and quick ala Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. I hate to lose!

If Georgia after beating Alabama in front of a national audience to gain the #1 spot, wanted to face plant in front of a national audience and show the world WHY they do not belong in the #1 spot, I would suggest they lose to an unranked Auburn team that has had 5 straight losing seasons…yeah, that would show the world!
Amen !! Gunner Did play very poorly after that dive into the ground. I wonder was he slightly concussed ? And he did drive us back down the field to get us in position to win on that last TD. To me it was a Team loss as our Defense couldn’t get Enough stops. And our Offense couldn’t get Enough points. It was Sad. But the Truth is Bama, TX, and defending champ Indiana ALL lost today. Dawgs at least lost by the smallest margin.
Need KJ Bolden back fully healthy. I’m not sure if Frazier is 100% he looked more like 90% These Dawgs are FAR from done after this bad loss today. They’ll regroup and come back !! We as fans need to Keep Believing In Them !!
the point is we had no business losing to Auburn. Teams play tough games the week before all the time.
Then please explain why Bama, TX, Defending Ntl. Champ Indiana ALL lost today and All by larger margins than our Dawgs ? Dawgs last beat Bama at Bama in 2007. That’s one year shy of Two decades !! Like it or not Bama is a pretty good team and we played them at their house. It was a knock down drag out Epic game. It gassed our Dawgs. Auburn essentially had Two weeks off to rest, heal, recover and plan Totally for our Dawgs.
Everyone thought the Auburn QB would be pretty much nothing but run. But he had good receivers to throw to. And when he did run he’s a Big dude hard to bring down. YES our Dawgs were chock full of mistakes on Both sides of the ball. No excuses for that. But it happens to Other good teams to. Might happen with #2 ND as at the moment they are down by 7. Get to the Bye heal up, regroup and get back at it. All our Dawgs can do.
