Kirby Smart knows Georgia has a tall task on its hands with Florida playcaller Buster Faulkner and explosive tailback Jaden Baugh.

Georgia's Rushing Offense ranks at #27 Nationally, and Florida at #30. Both teams can run the ball. Georgia's Rushing Defense ranks #10 ( Miami #1), and Florida down at #42. Therein lies an opportunity for the Dawgs.
@MontanaDawg Georgia's rush defense number could be watered down this season by the two weak opening opponents and game circumstances vs. Oklahoma / Arkansas. Auburn had 192 very real yards. The UGA defense will reveal what and who they are against Florida, either way. Kirby sounds determined.
Ha, Buster Faulkner is right behind Steve Spurrier and Nick Saban at the top of the Dawgs all time coaching villain list. When Florida is dialed in, like they were against Ole Miss and Texas, they can absolutely hang with any team. This game is going to feel like a playoff game. If both teams are on, I'd expect it to be somewhat of a shoot out. The Dawgs need A+ games from the special teams. The defense will need to play a lot of bend but don't break if the Dawgs are going to win it.
Stop the run, win. It really is that simple in this matchup. Faulkner was the best hire made this past year. Muschamp was second.
No matter what, they better not just put four down lineman and two linebackers in the box like they did with Auburn. Need to have some better schemes. Oh, and in case I haven't said this enough, it's time to get a Co defensive coordinator. If for no other reason, attrition happens, and we should be ready.
Auburn had 192 real yards because there was no spy on Byrum. LSU spied Byrum to the tune of 21 yards in 19 carries. Versus a very tired UGa, 115 yards on 26 carries. Schu finally adjusted in the 4th quarter and if not for the GS fumble, Byrum would have been held to 1 yard FU's QBs are both very mobile as well, sure hope Schu doesn't wait 3 quarters to adjust or it could be a very long day.
And yet Missouri took Florida to the woodshed. If Georgia starts fast like they did with Auburn (up 2 TDs), and doesn't have the turnovers, we win.
Sounds good to me!
GREAT points MG. Not sure why you got down voted for speaking truth, I guess some fans just expect you to be a homer.
I remember yelling at the tv "where is the spy on Auburn's QB"? It was weird, like the dawgs were more worried about his arm than his legs - FINALLY in the 4th, a spy was installed and the result was shutting down the QB. Hopefully, if something goes amiss in the Florida game, Schu will not be so slow to adjust.
Really wish we had kept Buster Faulkner and traded Mike Bobo when we had the chance….
This game scares me. Their coordinators are better than our coordinators…
