Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Countdown to August 31 - Day 98 - It's 10 to 9 in Texas Yet Again
Evening all! Just 14 weeks to go 'til we kick off in Nashville, but tonight we're talking a little basketball. 98: Georgia defeated Texas 98-88 at Stegeman Coliseum, January 26, 2019 I know we don't talk much basketball on this forum outside of a few dedicated threads, but it's nice to check in on the program once in a… -
Re: Carson Beck confirms he’ll play in Orange Bowl, unsure about future beyond that
Either, you aren't very sharp and have problems retaining information....or, you are deliberately misquoting me, trying to get a rise. If it 's the latter...you're messin' with the wrong one. If it's the former...I'm gonna break it down for you one more time. Just cause, it ain't our first time doin this '"UGADad20 Don't… -
Re: ‘This is cut-throat,” Georgia player podcast sounds off on NIL, portal and recruiting
Was "folding up" a little "harsh"? Maybe. In poker there is no shame in folding. Did CBeck rise up and win the game? No. Did he acquit himself well considering he had 4 yrs of skull and practice sessions and a full year of SEC starting experience? No. He still looked a little like a deer in the headlights. Which was the… -
Re: It wasn’t pretty, but Dawgs work through self-inflicted adversity
Guys, quit hyping up Kent State. They went 7-7 last year. They were hammered by Washington and Oklahoma 45-20 and 33-3. And Oklahoma just got beat 41-34 yesterday by Kansas State at home. They are favored to win the MAC ... yes but the MAC is worse than the AAC, C-USA and Mountain West. These days they are worse than the… -
Re: 3 Georgia football takeaways regarding the update Blue-Chip Ratio numbers
Your comment reminded me of a great line in the movie A League of Their Own. "Can't we do both?" No doubt a big DL class is needed to resupply numbers to an area of the team that will be depleted following this season. I probably worry less about defensive recruits as UGA seems to do very well there every year. But the… -
Re: Georgia football instant observations after deflating loss to Alabama
Awful coaching ... predictable play calling (for the most part) ... and a coaching genius (Saban, that is), unlike Smart, who was able to quickly make adjustments at half time to burry the Dawgs once again. That was the summary from the Alabama game. Where was the "air raid" that the new hyped-up offensive coordinator was… -
Re: Kirby Smart supports player transfers, but rules are rules regarding Cade Mays, Otis Reese
On a semi-related note, kudos to Brenton Cox for not playing the victim card in trying to get eligible in Gainesville. He transferred for competitive reasons, like Otis Reese, and both he and Mullet accepted that a year not competing was the cost. Not much whining (considering the sources,) and he's good to go this year.… -
Re: What can we do to not be so bored
Just sharing some info one of the Units I support has pushed out to their people. Anti-boredom Tips for Dealing with Isolation Preventative measures for COVID-19 have led to less options for recreation and more time spent at home. In order to beat boredom, we’re going to have to look for fun in new places that we might not… -
Re: What makes this No. 1 ranked recruiting class different for Georgia football
Fields did very well at OSU. Being 10th(?) overall in the 1st rd. set him up for life. Not sure how much better he would have done at UGA. OSU lost to AL in the CFBCG. Fields best chance to beat AL would've been to stay at UGA. But Fields wanted to play immediately and sling it. He wasn't ready to play ahead of Fromm as a… -
Re: Kirby Smart makes official statement on hiring Mike Bobo as offensive coordinator
How time heals all wounds and distorts the past. Everyone who is honest and knows UGA football can remember practically every Saturday, people all across Dawgnation were shaking their heads on a drive or two or in critical situations and wondering what was he(Bobo) thinking. That's a fact. HIs record in SEC championship…
