Re: Georgia football stock report: Bullish on defense against Texas A&M
I actually thought coley called a better than average game. Jake missed at least two touchdowns possibly three. I keep waiting for this offense to show signs of waking up but it just doesn’t happen. The reverse to Jackson was a nice wrinkle and can we please throw some more slants. I love Jake but it seems he has regressed… -
Re: Stetson Bennett releases classy statement on being a Heisman finalist amid social media outrage
Anyone who just uses the eye test to judge Stetson against QB's who play in throw for the fence's offenses, on teams with weak defenses are missing most of the picture. Tennessee and USC can't afford to take the ball out of their QB's hand in the 4th quarter, because they play for 50-30 score games. They don't rely on… -
Re: Georgia football-Kentucky instant observations following win that leaves many cold
Consolation..... Ohio State 33....MD 30 last I looked in the 4th. Michigan won by a FG.. I believe....so did TCU. No, I do not believe UGA needed a game like this....they have had two. The game plan of no passing is not Monken's style....he and Kirby were in a better dog fight than the game. (Kidding) I agree...no… -
Re: #3
Agree we have to adjust. As bad as these injuries seem, let's not forget we lost Adam Anderson at the exact same point last season, and we were out Pickens on O. The youngsters are unknowns, but hopefully the staff can get some of these guys ready. I think one of the keys for UGA's incredible defensive run has been LB… -
Re: Mississippi State fires Zach Arnett, second SEC job comes open
@Brooksie Blue chip programs almost never hire assistants. When they do, they aren't 33 year olds that have been co-DC for 3 years in a room that includes/has included Kirby Smart, Will Muschamp and Dan Lanning. Also, Lane Kiffin definitively proved by turning down the Auburn job last year that he is the Alabama head coach… -
Re: Malaki Starks promises defensive improvement for Georgia: ‘It’s on us’
SLOW STARTS....Nothing wrong with our Defense other than Slow Starts...of the 98 points we have allowed so far in 2023, 24 have come in the first quarter and 28 have come in the second quarter. The highest is in the fourth at 33 points but that's when we usually have the 2's, 3's and 4s getting "Development Snaps"/ie:… -
Re: Georgia stock report: Kirby Smart invested in Bulldogs’ growth potential
Stock WAY down: UGA fans who pretend as if UGA's offense ALWAYS looked as good during the 2021 and 2022 regular seasons as they did during the playoffs those years. Reality: UGA was actually less impressive in the 33-0 victory over Samford last year. That was followed by a 39-22 game against Kent State, needing to come… -
Re: 3 Georgia football takeaways from 21-14 win over Auburn
LSU in complete control...until Bama rallies in 2nd half from what, a 33-13 deficit and came so close to recovering the OS kick? Or perhaps Baylor up 28-3...until Oklahoma rallies and wins late? The sooner you guys quit placing blame on any one individual or coaching staff member and come to realize that ebbs and flows are… -
Re: UGA AS A NATIONAL BRAND – From Sea to Shining Sea!
Didn't see this thread last year so just reading through it today...agree with all of your comments on Athens/UGA being the best-kept secret in the country. My daughter starts her Sophomore year next month and what initially was a pitstop on a college visit roadtrip/itinerary immediately became the benchmark for every… -
Re: Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud: Buckeyes preparing to ‘let it loose’ against Georgia
Understandable that OSU is going to try and do what LSU did in the second half--cut it loose, throw it all over the field and hope they can have the same success--500 yards. If LSU had simply made that FG, the final score would have been 43-33, so I'm sure OSU is looking at that and they are looking at when we got beat…
