Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Excited for the basketball team and will exceed expectations I think
Bigs Hammonds I think will be much improved from his freshman year. He's an NBA type talent. Becuase the team is so deep in the frontcourt, he will look to expand his backcourt/wing role as well. Nic Claxton is another giant alongside the super athletic Hammonds and like Hammonds played in all 33 games last year as a… -
Re: Georgia football podcast: UGA fans should adopt the mindset of one of the all-time greats
All of these posts are fantastic (as is the Coach Erk letter on the podcast) and brings me back to those wondrous years I spent at UGA from the fall of '76 to spring of '80. I missed the Herschel years, having graduated in the Spring, but we had some memorable games and teams in the late '70's. And that is when Coach Erk… -
Re: Undefined discussion subject.
With McConkey coming back, Georgia will have one of the top wide receiver rooms in the country next season. Yeah ... UGA has had 2 #1 picks at WR in the history of the program: Lindsay Scott in 1982 and AJ Green in 2011. UGA has had 22 receivers drafted in the history of its program, only 9 of them in the first 3 rounds.… -
Re: BREAKING: Priority WR target Tyler Williams decides he’ll play for Georgia football
Sorry to post this here but Memphis reminded me of a person I met. I met a homeless man on the pier in Gulfport Mississippi in 2011. Hurricane Katrina rendered him homeless in 2005 and he was still down on his luck 6 years later but he was not down in his spirit. His nickname was Paunch. I was on the pier fishing with my… -
Tough choices today...
There were several choices for National Day today, all which had merit. It was a pretty touch choice but, then, that's why I get paid the big bucks. The candidates were Make Your Bed Day, Hot Cross Bun Day and the eventual winner: PATRIOT DAY Patriot Day on September 11th honors the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent… -
The eye of Hurricane Dorian...
...passed right over Treasure Cay, on Abaco, in the northern Bahamas. Below is a text sent last night from a friend closely connected to this community. "Hey Tool. Still no news from Treasure Cay or the nearby communities. All comms service and power is out. They took a direct hit; eye went right over the top if Treasure.… -
Re: WATCH: Georgia coach Kirby Smart addresses quarterback situation with JT Daniels, Stetson Bennett
Coming into this season, no matter who the quarterback was, it was going to be someone who'd never started a game at Georgia. There were 5 options. The presumptive starter stayed with the program for 5 or 6 months, then bailed 3 weeks before the season started. That left... A guy who is coming off brain surgery, who many… -
Re: Georgia football winners and losers following 41-24 defeat to Alabama
I just watched the CBS Sports HQ YouTube video of the game and it's definitely worth watching. The game is compressed to 24 mins and you pretty much see every relevant play. After watching it, I... I just don't know if we had a shot to win. The difference is Alabama (+ Clemson + probably Ohio State) have NFL level teams.… -
Re: UGA football 2019: Toughest games, season record and other predictions
Two years ago UGA and ND played a major war for 60 minutes...and UGA only led for about 3-4 minutes of the game...trailing throughout the other 56 minutes. The ND team just played in a Final Four Championship series...has a head coach who was named AP Coach of the Year and returns 14-15 starters and has two DL players who… -
Re: WATCH: First look at new Georgia quarterback JT Daniels from Hutson Mason
I've watched all the tape on these guys. Beside Newman the QB who best looks the part of a prototypical pro QB is Carson Beck. He makes all the throws, 6' 4" Great touch though on all his deep throws. Can scramble(more athletic than Jake) . But not a true duel threat. Some on here have likened Daniels to Jake Fromm "2.0" .…
