Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
While it is shocking a CB to clemson for Murphy, and the fact we need to get him on campus, I tend to look at who did the CB too. I believe D Warren used to be a Scar reporter so it seems he likes to throw our early predictions for the instate teams more often than not. His prediction percentage all time is 65%, while… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
the only # that matters is 85. there are plenty of staffers employed at UGA athletics to figure out the rest. we have 2 spots left to fill should nobody else transfer out after adding newman. should we add the Michigan WR & the FSU TE, that would leave us with 0 scholarships for NSD. thus, I would assume we lose at least… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
As I stated in an earlier post either here or in the "Intel" thread I believe the over/under for scholarship players (exc PWO given one for a year) is 80. With Beal withdrawing from the portal I would change to 81 but feel that no way do we get to 85. That's why I have been promoting Joseph as an add to the roster. He… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
With the announced departures and signed recruits ( plus SVP, Jones, Washington, Ringo, Evans) , this is the difference in numbers at each position group from the previous year after the turnover. Attrition is likely coming from the OL, WR, and DB rooms. We're over the 85 limit by three currently. OL +3 WR +2 QB +1 DB +1… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
The scholarship is immediately available; the ability to fill it will depend on how many leave early via NFL or transfers. It can of course be filled 2019 by a WO that has been enrolled at UGA for 2 or more years. Prather Hudson would be a good candidate IMO for a 1 year scholarship which would be renewed if he stayed for… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Joseph was told by staff he’s still wanted last week. If he only counts against 85 this year, this should heat up. Not sure our depth chart in comparison to the gumps but Nadab has to like seeing Cine as the only real hurdle currently on campus. Not being disrespectful to others but Nadab is a much better “athlete” than… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
The issue is the 25 not the 85. With that said I think it's Nadab or no-one at Safety (he doesn't count against 2020). Also we only need 5 DL. With regard to changing the 25 rule I don't really see much if any progress happening on this. I think the NCAA would see that this generates more transfers. If a few hundred in the… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
I would like to see Jospeh back in the fold @Denmen185 . He’s came up in JUCO to the #3 player nationally and #1 corner/db . Could project to play safety for us as seeming there will be 2 open spots. These juco kids need to have immediate impact only having 2 years. Have we squashed the idea of him only counting towards… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Also need to know number of scholarship players leaving which could easily exceed the number than can be taken per the annual limit (23). In that case it would not impact the "pure 2020 signee" number. Can have cake and eat it. Also looking ahead to the 2021 class, we could lose a bunch of the 2018's to the NFL. Kirby… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
So Evans signed and then we released him. And now he’ll sign again on NSD as a Kirby special. Will he take up 2 scholarship spots since he signed twice? And then what if he doesn’t qualify and goes to another school, only to transfer to UGA? He now accounts for 3 scholarships, but the good news is he’s a freebie and only…
