Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
might not be the right thread for this, but here goes anyway. are we sure that RBs 'matter' enough to warrant the amount of scrutiny we're putting on getting the 5 star backs? obviously we want the very best talent in athens, but given how effective numerous backs have proven to be in the NFL running behind dominant O… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
I just read seven pages of I'm not quite sure what. Some perspective: Our team is 4-0, with arguably the best win of the year in CFB. Guys who are seemingly imminent commits: #1 CB, #1 ATH, #2 ILB, #3 TE, #9 SDE Others we are seriously in the mix for: #1 SDE, #1 RB, #5 DT Already Committed: studs, studs, and more studs How… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
My hot takes: 1) Bresee’s girlfriend cheated on him with Jamil Burroughs; we sent Burroughs packing and Bresee is all Dawg now. Win Win. 2) Zach Evans tried to fight a coach, but got stuffed because he needs to hit the weight room and grow some. Dell let him know he shouldn’t take Mike Gundy literally: “He’s a man He’s… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
@texdawg and @LBCoach , I'll give you Lawrence. He came in and by game 4 passed the incumbent championship winning QB. I'll even give you Hurts, who didn't win (needed Tua), but was the man his freshman year. We were not depending on Fromm his freshman year as we had Eason. That was a **** of injury/luck/hot hand. But,… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
@SoFL_Dawg thanks for the in depth post. As always, we enjoy getting as granular as possible. With that said, I want to touch on the OL situation you mentioned. When you said too, late, does that mean it’s because we already have Raym and SVP in the mix? If so, I would assume the OL that reached out was Rogers. If not, I… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
My ideal roster has 12 WR and 6 TE. We currently have 10 and 5 respectively with at minimum 2 of each leaving at the end of the season. That would mean on numbers alone we need 4 WR and 3 TE this cycle although 1 would not go with 3 TE as that would give us 3 Freshmen and 3 Sophomore which I wouldn't like looking forward… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
@texdawg , I’ve said this to a few people, and it’s obviously a feeling, not a science or even a very informed opinion. I see Milton, and I see a pretty high floor guy, but he looks like to me that he might be like many of Bama’s have been over the past 10 years, which is to say “very effective” without being absolutely… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Good share. FWIW I think Jake is turning pro. Getting a day 2, 2nd round grade is a hell of an accomplishment. Declaring early changes his life financially, helps us with recruiting the QB position, and allows the team to expedite the transition to what this offense is intended to be. I don’t think Fromm has 1st round… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
@BarkingDawg Current OL Room That's a total of 14. 1 short against my ideal of 15 (1, 2 and 3rd team). Thomas and Wilson have already declared and Hayes is out of eligibility thus 4 spots are already open. I also think Cleveland declares (especially as he appears to be having academic issues) and Shaffer will either get a… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
@SoFL_Dawg I agree with everything you said and in fact my post said that UGA would likely help a good player get drafted marginally higher than a similar talent at UF. As you say they will likely get a chance to display their talent in more high profile games. I was merely saying that the difference may not be worth…
