Are recruiting rankings overrated for corners?

None of the 5 star rated corners by rivals planned out in 2015 or 2016 class.

I think corners are the hardest to grade, and a reason you see 3 stars shine and sometimes 5 stars not so much. There’s a lot that goes into that position. And let’s be honest, no one can judge those hip flexors like @WCDawg. He likes young men with quick hips, if you know what I mean ;)

I like Daniel to start next season over Campbell, if that tells you anything.

I would imagine a juco player would be expected to start or contribute immediately.

I'm going by film and build. Daniel looks and plays the part.

I'm going he can pick up where Baker left off. That's asking a lot but we need it with all the youth at CB

Divaad Wilson will start next season...he would have started this season if he hadn't been injured and if you watched him in the Sugar Bowl he already has great technique and is a more physical player than Campbell. Honestly I think Campbell will finish his career at UGA at FS...it's a better fit for his skill set and size.

He is very similar to Baker in build and style of play.

I could definitely see a liberal rotation at CB next year, especially if Stevenson makes it official this weekend (and I think Stevenson will finish at safety just like Campbell...I wouldn't mind seeing those two with their size and speed manning the FS and SS positions). Wilson looks really good, Stokes really came on later in the year, Daniel looks extremely talented with good size and speed. Should be fun to see how the secondary solidifies next year...no shortage of talent there, that's for sure.

Don't go to sleep on Cine either, that guy is going to be something at safety, star or both before he leaves Athens.

hips need to be fluid as well.

Here's my ideal Secondary next year
    SS- Read
    FS- Campbell
    CB- Wilson
    CB- Daniel
    NB- Stokes
    Star- Reece

I'm not on the trash LeCounte train but I think he needs to add size and work on tackling to regain the starting spot.

Well he’s clearly too tall to ever be a great CB

I like LeCounte, he wants to tackle, but man he isn't big enough to knock you over and his technique is not good

We need to stop a lot of the yards after contact, it is something Kirby talks about and it's something we can all see. I think a lot of it has to do with the new rules, we don't seem to have adapted well yet. Too many missed arm tackles caused by poor positioning.

The issue with the LeCounte is he has the speed and athleticism to be where he's supposed to be so his technique leading up to the tackle has actually improved dramatically. It's his technique at the point of contact. I don't think his size is the issue, I've seen great headhunters that were his size. But yes, his technique at the point of contact is not good. That's where he needs to work in the off-season.
