Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans

- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum

- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

National Thank God It's Monday Day

This is a day which, unlike some I have posted, has a solid connection to our board. It starts out the first full week of the new year and is set aside for us to look ahead with real hope, energy, enthusiasm and excitement for all things to come in the next 12 months.

I have much to which I am looking forward. Spring practice and reports on which players are stepping up and showing improvement, G-Day, Fall camp and any reports we are able to get on how the team is coming along. Of course, I am also looking forward to the season, the ups and downs that it always seems to provide, the cupcakes, the non-cupcake games, the post-season games and all. I also look forward to some of the more "vibrant discussions" that I am certain are not far around the corner and the opportunities to learn more about football from those who have coached it as well as those who think they can.

How about y'all?

Having been "retired" for about 5 years now, it's funny how weekend days become more like weekdays and weekdays become more like weekend days. I like it....a LOT. Wish I could have majored in retirement in school.

Sports helps define weekends a bit, but only getting to work twice a week sure changes my perceptions.
