  • I hope AAF works out too. Be nice to watch some football during the off season and get to see DGDs who didn't make it in the NFL

When Aaron Murray finishes scratching his football itch with the Legends, I'd love to c him join Kirbys staff as QB Coach. Definitely 1 of my All Time favorite Dawgs.

Yeah me too...The only thing I hate about all of this is that the Atlanta Legends' colors are Purple and Gold. Purple and Gold, really?

Would there still be a 3-year after HS rule for the NFL? One reason minor league baseball isn’t really a bigger deal is that players get moved and traded so often you have no idea who’s on the team from game to game. Imagine if your local team is doing great, but your All-Star QB gets pulled up to the NFL or gets traded in the middle of the season....now your team sucks. Who wants that? Team instability in minor league sports is an issue.

    Not to the parent team.

True. Just saying minor league sports really don’t have the fanatic fan base as the bigs or college. A minor league for football would be good for guys who just don’t want to go to college...but ultimately i think it would ruin both college football and the NFL. College teams would suffer from missing out on a lot of great talent and the great HS talent would not get the same level of coaching and development they get in college. No way any minor league team would get the same financial backing and support as your average P5 football program.

Curious about how much teams spend in scouting and the whole drafting thing. I guess they'd have to spend about the same to scout and such for HS kids. College coaches would likely be the minor league coaches but there would only be a very limited # of jobs (32 if each team had its own minor league team). Not sure what the rest of the college coaches would do, Interesting to think about. Not all jobs last forever...think back to people who made slide rules and hand held calculators.
