Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans

- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum

- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Nolan Ryan’s 5714 career strikeouts. No one else comes close.

Yep. Second place on the list is this guy you might have heard of, Randy Johnson, and he is barely within 1,000! That’s insane!!

Johnson recorded 4,875 Strikeouts and one dead bird,

I doubt anyone will record 4,876 K’s and two dead birds.

Nolan Ryan struck out eight players in MLB...

...and struck out their dads, too.

(Sandy, Roberto, and Sandy, Jr. Alomar; Bobby and Barry Bonds; Ken and Ken, Jr. Griffey; Tito and Terry Francona; Hal and Brian McRae; Dick and Dick, Jr. Schofield; Maury and Bump Wills).

He also whipped Robin Ventura like a.... oh wait... Gillette.

How about Pete Rose - 4,256 hits. Hardly anyone hits .300 these days and players make way too much money to play anywhere near as long as Pete did.

I like the idea of going back to being 30, but it might be hard to explain why my sons are older than me.

Who was the chick that dominated swimming in the Olympics? She was on another level.

    Michael Phelps.

If you dig women with masculine names and big ears, she's the dude for you.
