Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

We might want to change that outdated red and black color scheme while we’re at it. Maybe even change our mascot to a Tiger? Seems to be popular.
I don't go to games anymore so I don't much care where they play, except that if it helps in recruiting, I'm all for making it home/home.
I think the schools talk about moving the game back to home and home just as a negotiating ploy to get the City of Jacksonville to cough up more and more money. That game is a BIG deal to that city.
But Jacksonville adds temporary seats for this game every year. I attended the game where it set the stadium record one year for over 86k
Interesting. 67k to 86k seems like a lot of temporary seats. But who I'm I to say.......
I live in Fernandina; enough said!
Where I stay when I do get to go to WLOCP. Only there and the Plantation since 1980. Dawg fan central eh?
Mike Griffith on Finebaum today explained it to be a better recruiting opportunity for both Georgia and Florida. Neither get that extra official visit with a home game on campus. I get that reasoning. He also said it would bring extra revenue to Athens and Gainesville. And one last point he made, he believes Kirby is for the change.
I can see this, but one cannot overlook the Big Boosters that have invested in real estate because of this game. MAJOR yearly trek for them and I'm sure they may add their thoughts. Those with the deepest pockets usually have their way......
As previously posted I live in Fernandina. The public here are 50/50 Gator/Dawgs and over time that will change if the game is moved. The Camden County folks will stay mainly UGA but the Fernandina, Yulee, Jacksonville born recruits will become Gators. For instance, Beck reportedly grew up a Dawg fan but would that have been the case had the switch to Home and Home happened in 1995/6.
Great points, @ghostofuga1, about the real estate investors and @Denman185 about Beck. I also failed to mention that I love the traditional game at Jax. Good and bad memories played in that stadium. The 2 that stand out to me are the 'Run, Lindsay, Run' and when the whole team went to the end zone to celebrate. We paid for that later, but it was so worth it to see the team as one unit.
Not for sure, but may come from a poster that hasn't been around in awhile. SnoopDawg
About ____ time for it to be home/home!!!
& it all boils down to 1 thing: DISTANCE!
NOBODY can make me believe that a place 5 1/2 hrs. from Athens compared to 1 1/2 from Gainesville is anything but a HOME GAME in the back yard of the swamp rats!!!
chip put the pretty big kibosh on this one ever happening today. he made many salient points
I enjoy Jax, but I wouldn’t mind a home and home once in a while
Im good either way
