Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I remember a guy at my high school that year saying, “Tech is good, man they beat Alabama!”
My friend Chip fires back, “and LOST TO MEMPHIS STATE!”
Tech got them a good one here
Don’t be shocked to see this former 4 star ATL kid come back home, after putting his name in the transfer portal.
He wanted to be a Dawg. Still can’t shake the colors. Wish we could take them all.
Flip from Auburn to Tech, I like it. *edited
Already got the right logo on the helmet
edit: never mind...realized which thread this is
The hype around Collins makes me laugh. He will be gone in four years, and not because he jumped to a better job. Sure he can run his mouth and recruit a little better than Paul Johnson. Paul Johnson was able to beat, on occasion, UGA, Clemson, Va Tech, Miami. And he did it with average recruits. CKS would much rather have Collins at GT than Johnson, so he doesn't have to worry about that pesky offense.
Well when you play em 2x since we beat em for the NC in 80, there's just so many other teams to hate that we face more often. I very much dislike ND but mainly because they will never join a conference because of the $, and ONLY need to win out during the regular season. But in '19 I absolutely despise them because they're coming to Athens lol.
Picked up a few more wayward GA boys and brought them back , the 2nd one was someone’s UGA was looking at pretty good back when ....
DE From UF
DB from Michigan
Harbaugh is having a tough time holding onto those GA boys (Sims and Soloman)
Harbaugh has got to be one of the most overrated coaching hires in recent memory. I am curious to see how much longer he stays. If he doesnt beat Ohio State this year, it may not be much longer at all.
With Allen and Sims, tech could see an improved secondary in 2020
Couldn’t be much worse
This dude looks good. Check out some highlights form this spring. #10 APB #425 overall. He's got that Swift/Mecole type wiggle. Runs behind his pads well for that size. Devonta Freeman-ish
This Jahmyr Gibbs kid may be a dude whose stock starts rising quickly... here is a snippet from the Georgia High School Football Daily email on Gibbs performance last week and being named the state player of the week.
-Gibbs rushed for 420 yards and eight touchdowns - both school records - in Dalton's opening game.
"He has worked as hard in the offseason as any player that I have had in the last 27 years," Dalton coach Matt Land said. "He's worked on all phases: mental, physical, running, passing, returning. He wants to be a complete back and player."
Gibbs rushed for 1,431 yards as a junior. Gibbs has committed to Georgia Tech. He's rated the No. 10 all-purpose back nationally among seniors by 247Sports. Land said Gibbs is a well-rounded player.
"The first thing I heard him say the other night was that this is not an individual achievement but one that everyone played a part in, including offensive line, defense and special teams," Land said. "Great kid."
How is their OL and DL recruiting so far?
All 3 stars but bigger than normal. 4 OTs and 1 OG
Dline - 2 SDE and 2WDE, need more beef
I would say Tech does have a strong potential class and future, but I would probably start worrying when they start building and upgrading football facilities. Right now they do get an initial bump and Collins is a great recruiter, but he can only do so much if he doesn't get some financial support.
Afterall, the constant complaint by Paul Johnson was the lack of financial support.
Agreed, and definitely no worries here just like to check on what little brother is up to. They could help is down the road keeping guys from midlevel SEC schools while becoming competitive in the ACC (and maybe pull off a miracle knockout every now and then to on of their top teams)
