The Last Sport on Earth I Care About...

The AJC keeps carrying top shelf articles on the Atlanta Dream. I love college basketball, and I want the Lady Dawgs to do well, but... if no other sport existed, and I was left with the choice between watching the WNBA or a Bette Midler movie, I’m going to be watching Beaches or whatever dribble she’s put on film lately. I just don’t get the WNBA or it’s audience.

My least favorite sport to watch is horse racing on TV. The down-time between races is tough to deal with. I like being at the track, though.

Of the sports I've played, my least favorite sport to play is basketball. It used to be my favorite, but now my old mind forgets that it isn't connected to a young body anymore, so I either twist something playing or just hurt like mad afterword.

Funny, same for me. Same time - in college in Athens. All I remember from the experience were women bawling in the theater and that my girlfriend was too emotional from the movie afterwards to do anything I was interested in. And by “anything,” I mean a certain something. I hold it against Bette Midler to this day.

To me it don't get much more exciting than watching some Canucks sweep in front of a disk shaped rock while it slowly slides on a sheet of ice.
