Bryan Bresee sounds very solid to Clemson. But the nation's No. 2 overall prospect for this cycle shared with DawgNation just how tight of a race it came down to be between the Bulldogs and the Tigers.

He could not go wrong with either choice as far as football goes, of course with his girlfriend already at Clemson they were going to be nearly impossible to beat out for Bresee. Good luck to him except if he ever lines up against the Dawgs.

In the weak as water ACC, Clemson can pace themselves and the season doesn't start until the playoffs. That has to be a big selling point because there is a lot of tread left on their players when they go to the NFL! Clemson is not even tested in their conference championship game because of conference mediocrity. It's like if KY was UGA's toughest game year in and year out and then played Mississippi State for the conference championship. A talented, well rested team vs. opponents that have to fight tooth and nail to make the playoffs.

Losing this one hurt. DL is the one position that has haunted Kirby so far. It's slowly coming around, But having 5 or 6 four and five star studs on the the DL is a must to win it all.

Good luck to him. If Clemson is where he felt the most comfortable, then that's where he should be. Didn't realize his girlfriend was already there, but if that's the case, I'm sure it helped him feel that much better. More power to him. Derrick Brown, though, I'm a little less clear about. I don't know that I ever saw a clear reason that he decided on Auburn as opposed to UGA. Oh well. Go Dawgs!

Why on a UGA site do I keep reading articles everyday about people going to other schools

We have a full roster of Dawg players and the walk-on without a scholarship on the Georgia team interest me 1 million times more than the kid committed to Clemson

Thank you for the article, Jeff. I have been wondering what happened with his recruitment as he seemed to be all Dawg then suddenly all Clemson. Although his gut feeling doesn't shed a ton of light on the decision, at least I know he wasn't stringing us along all that time. Sounds like it was close and we lost out. Nolan and Walker balling out in the coming seasons will change DL recruits' mentality about UGA hopefully. It's really the only position UGA has had difficulty recruiting in the Smart era.
