National IPA Day
It's finally here!! National IPA Day - celebrate India Pale Ale. Here's a little history for you:
"The IPA seems to have developed out of an idea from the 1700s. When shipping ale to India, adding hops to the beer increased the longevity of the brew. Brewers thought that hops preserved the beer for long voyages to hot climates. One London brewer gained attention for his ability to brew this particular style of beer. George Hodgson shipped many casks of pale ales to India from London. However, no one knows for sure when or who coined the name India Pale Ale."
3 cheers for George Hodgson!! I don't think we need any suggestions of how to celebrate this day.

Dang I guess I gotta drink again tonight too
That seems a reasonable conclusion to me.
Everyone should post their favorite.
Not always my first choice for an IPA, but I do love the Bells two hearted ale
Was just about to post bells. Also enjoy voodoo ranger
Even though it's not a traditional IPA, I love me some Tropicalia!
Brew Free or Die is probably my favorite.
I'd rather room temp water over an IPA. I've tried dozens and I just can't get into them. I wish I could considering how popular they are.
I am so tired of IPA this and IPA that, give me a lager during the summer, a brown ale for the fall, a creamy stout for winter, and next spring I might consider a IPA but will probably go with a good sour. But there are some **** good IPAs out there brewed all over Georgia.
I used to hate them. My lady drinks them primarily and thru that I’ve acquired the taste. Although I’d take a high life or a Narragansett first
Agreed @Kasey . I've tried probably at least a dozen, several of them from folks saying "I don't love IPAs but I like this." Haven't found one yet. Voodoo Ranger probably the closest so far.
The new (new to me anyways) goose island is one of my go tos right now. Super juicy and flavorful
Really?? No mention of our own Terrapin Beer Co. !! Hopsecutioner is pretty dang good to me.
It's great. But it's the only IPA they sell at the local gas station so when I get to venture out, I try different stuff
Can't go wrong with a Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA or a Ballast Point Sculpin. Can usually find either of these anywhere with a decent selection.
That is a fair point. I've asked a few times for the shop here in Germany to get it but no luck.
IPAs are great. I've been in europe for a week and blond ales get old.
I need something bitter :(
