How much longer does Pruitt survive in Knoxville?

I think the Jeremy Banks saga has the potential to turn in to another Urban Meyer type scandal. It appears Pruitt already knew about the Aug 24th cell phone video before the arrest video came out, and only dismissed him because he was given the heads up the media had it.

The embers are smoldering on Rocky Top.

I don’t know his buyout but I’d expect their board of regents won’t pull the trigger until next year unless some smoking gun emerges allowing them to void it.

He has to show a lot of improvement over what the team has done so far this season or it seems likely he won't be back next year. I do think a 7-5 record would buy him another year though.

He wouldn't be the first or the last great coordinator who isn't cut out to be a head coach.

Tennessee is scrèwed if he stays and worse off if they replace him and start over (again).

He's a smart guy who says really stupīd things far too often for a head coach. He's also a hot head, etc.

In other words when he is finally fired at Tennessee I want him hired at Florida. Head coach (not DC). A natural fit there.
