My Name is Earl. One of the funniest shows I've ever seen.
Let us know what you think. I just watched the 'What We Do In The Shadows' movie from 2014 and honestly I think the tv series is more humorous. I really like the tv cast, there's great chemistry and the lead female is fantastic. Also, the addition of an "Energy Vampire" is brilliant.
I like Longmire , but hands down Justified is better written with some of the best characters I've ever seen on TV , I mean Deadwood good . Some of the dialogue is just masterful.
My friends would say, never watch anything I recommend, but here goes:
Comrade Detective on Amazon Prime. Satire of 80s cop shows but made as a faux propaganda series from the communist point of view. Hilarious.
Brockmire on Hulu. Dialogue driven. Very adult language and themes. If you like the first 15 minutes, the entire series is like that. Baseball announcer (Hank Azaria) has an on air meltdown after finding out his wife cheated on him. He tries to find redemption after being fired. Comedy.
Do you want ants? Because this is how you get ants.
lol - better call Kenny Loggins...
Just finished all the episodes(as of now) of "The Expanse" on Amazon Prime and I think that's my new favorite show.
Right now I'm on S01E06 of "Homeland" and I'm hooked.
What's the premise of "The Expanse"?
Schitts Creek.
One of the funniest shows ever
Schitts creek is hilarious.
Yulkeith Brown - Slot WR from FL (not sure much activity from UGA but top 7)
It took me 3 episodes to catch the mayor's name.
I'm on season 3 of "Vikings". Its on Prime. So far I'm hooked. Its a clash of cultures, some deception, and extremely gory.
Ok....I'm really likin Longmire so far....thanx for the recomendation:) Love that common sense with a dose of decency you get from the writing....certainly feels familiar to a lot of my fave Western characters.
However, I'm seeing a lot of support for Justified. So, gonna put that one next-up in the cue....if its 'family friendly'...definitely an issue in our house. Could anyone comment on that...maybe compared to Longmire ??
Thanx much:)
Lagatha is my secret crush. Katheryne WInnick....so fine. The show is great as well for about 4-5 seasons then it gets weird.
Deadwood is another great HBO special.
Well Justified doesn't have a lot of sex, but the profanity does at times run rampant. What is different is that often the writers use profanity in a witty and illuminating manner. It's not on a Deadwood scale but with youngsters around it might be better to pass on... when they are watching.
New show to add to the pile here...about halfway through Season 1 of Get Shorty on Netflix (series, not the John Travolta movie from years ago). Same basic premise as the movie but updated in a grittier, Breaking Bad vibe. Great characters/performances - including Ray Romano who's excellent in it.
I've resisted watching it because I loved the original film so much. But your description makes me reconsider.
