I was late finding Longmire. Hadn’t heard of it before COVID. Started watching it on a whim. Great show.
Came across this show on FX called, "What We Do In The Shadows". It's a faux documentary on Vampires. Absolutely hilarious.
Hell on Wheels...never watched it before..great show.
It is based on a 2014 movie by the same name https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3416742/ check it out I think you'll like it to.
We were late getting in on the 'Witcher'. Some call it a Game of Thrones rip-off, but we're about 5 episodes in and the only thing it has in common with GOT is swords and blood. Actions scenes are well choreographed. It's a tough plot to follow, but keeps you interested.
Hmm. I found Witcher unwatchable. And I'm a huge GOT fan. Maybe I'll give it another try.
I don't know why the producers did this but they don't tell you the story is jumping time periods like crazy the first three episodes. I think its in the 4th episode that it finally becomes obvious that they keep jumping around in time and it all falls into place. I wasn't hooked until the 4th episode.
The Patriot on Amazon Prime.
I second "What We Do In The Shadows"...so, so good - Colin Robinson: Energy Vampire. What a character.
Honorable Mention: Really late to the party on this one, but I never saw Veep before and really like it so far through one season.
I was late watching Waco. Great mini series on Netflix from back in 2018, only 6 episodes each less than an hour. Gotta take it with a grain of salt though cause it's based on two books: one by the head negotiator and one by a survivor, neither of which were fond of the FBI or ATF after everything went down.
Also watched that during quarantine and thought it was decent...if nothing else, makes one reconsider the official findings that the Branch Davidians were 100% responsible for the escalation & loss of life.
Thanks I will definitely check out the movie! One of the Executive Producers is the New Zealander to wrote and directed the brilliant 2019 film 'Jo Jo Rabbit'.
I agree. I thought the storyline was all over the map. Couldn't get into it. In sort of the GOT genre, I think The Last Kingdom is very good.
The last episode that featured Colin Robinson getting a work promotion was hilarious. Loved it!
lol - yes...loved the hair as his power grew stronger
