Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Provided the data you have provided is accurate, I find it interesting that so many countries with a higher death rate than the United States are also claiming to have relatively tiny infection rates as a percentage of their population. These include Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Uruguay, Greece, Slovenia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland.
Transparency, ehh?
@ghostofuga1 Thank you sir for the quick response, and explanation. I still do believe in my point. Hopefully the mods can bring this subject up to the "higher ups"??? I firmly believe that this idea (the accountability aspect) has its own merit in revealing the down voters identity versus anonymous down votes. That is a pure "troll bait" invitation IMO.
Respectfully, you guys are allowed to make suggestions, no?
I hear what you are saying about not being the ones who make the rules. There isn't anything in the rules about not complaining about DV's, yet one of the other mods made up his own rule forbidding anyone from questioning a DV in previous threads, and then talked down to people in the most disrespectful manner I can remember on the forum over it. Simply avoiding a repeat of that incident alone is worth a conversation about removing anonymity of DVs.
@Raiderbeater1 You just reminded now me (and it made me really laugh!!!) "spoons made me fat" ... since I am constantly battling myself to not get any bigger than I already am. Banning spoons? <-- that was not on your list. LOL
This is not about down votes stop already
Go ahead and open this thread up to be trolled and see how quick I close it
Because of what Levitt said, combined with a theory that this virus might start burning out at about 15ish percent spread, there is a real argument to wait a few weeks to see if things start turning around.
And if they do, then I'd feel foolish if I were more practical in the Big 10/Pac 12, and we'll likely see college football at least try to proceed. If they don't, then we'll probably see everyone cancel (technically postpone to spring, but I think spring isn't happening), and then there's going to be a real argument to try to impose 2nd lockdowns in the southeast.
but not in this thread, open up a down vote thread, I suggested long ago that dv's be done away with now back to the topic
Yes, we can make suggestions just like every member here can... Just because Mods suggest it, doesn't mean it will happen. Pretty sure it has been suggested in the past to remove all the voting and that never happened.

I can see this growing in to a movement. We just need to organize and unionize. Then you'll see!
"NO DV'S...NO PEACE"
So, the conferences that want to play, is this just about football or are they trying to allow all sports? I think there might be some Title IX issues if entire conferences only allow men's football, but not any women's sports. Title IX is federal law.
I believe they are planning on playing fall sports....not just football
Wow, freedom of speech in here? hmmmmm...
It would just devolve Into threads full of massive purse swinging.
I think the point was to eliminate that.
Dont get bugged by DVs. I don’t know why people care.
Each team will decide whether they compete. The president school is just giving that option TO compete.
If equestrian decides not to it’s that sport that made the decision. I can see it being something like that.
It would be like saying “If football doesn’t play this year we won’t have equestrian next year....so go ahead and file a grievance”.
UGA most likely won’t have that issue but many schools will.
It will be interesting if a school chooses to play when the Governor has the state on lockdown. You think the Governors of Michigan and California are going to allow their schools to play, even if they beg?
The teams can just say they are peacefully protesting and go play.
Amen.
