Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Is that anywhere near yosemight?
First off in any emergency situation blind panic should not be a reaction that is adopted by the public. This disease is very dangerous to certain segments of the population and they should be safe guarded. However, many segments of the population stand to lose more in life than they risk from COVID and this quarantine.
In regards to sports, many sports programs and scholarships may be lost forever. High School players in all sports may never get evaluated and get a chance for a higher education.
In regards to normal life, people’s business and financial fortunes are being ruined forever. Families suffer and dreams are destroyed.
If you are involved in a school you know that many children are better off at school. They go uncared for and underfed in unstable homes. They are suffering.
Finally there is some difference in death rates in 2020. It is the highest rate since 1990. However the death rate is growing this year at about the same clip or less than it has the last 6 years. It mostly went down 40 years before 2009 and then it started climbing. Our death rates were higher every year in the 70s and 80s. I know improved automotive safety really cut down on the high 70s high rate. You will notice a spike in deaths in 2017 and 2018. We had a really high spike of flu season deaths December 17 and January 18. It shows in a graph as not as bad as the high COVID months but bad still. Of course we had no election in 17/18 so lives weren’t as important since they couldn’t be used politically.
This disease is bad, but we need to realize that we can’t totally ruin the future over it. Use good judgement to isolate and protect those at high risk and use good hygiene for everyone else.
Great data and supplementary comments. Thanks for sharing!
He sees the end nearing
Great article......and I'm glad to know you are doing better.
Wonder if he is being criticized by other Stanford profs?
...or Yale professors.
Great article/ interview. Thanks for sharing!
I was going to post this.
I want them to keep track of the players on teams that didn’t play this fall and see if any infection rate is higher.
What would happen if it wasn’t any different? Or worse?
I could see presidents heads rolling for this.
How much less?
This is going to be the one and only response to keep this from going too political....but if Warren thinks this is going to hurt the current Pres. he has it completely backwards. The Pres. was recently pushing to play and the other conferences will. BIG10 schools are in battleground states. The fans aren’t happy with not playing when it was feasible.
This isn’t wishing one way or another...just seems obvious.
The likes of which no one has ever seen. It's really unbelievable I tell you, really unbelievable.
One of my pet peeves. I usually tell the person, “Well it sounds like you probably should care less.” They never get it.
I laugh when I see folks get that saying wrong. It happens all the time too.
@Baxleydawg fantastic big picture post.
I guess I need an editor......or more schoolin
We're just fun'n with ya, Tex!
