Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

You're right Ghost, it is more than those three. One of my favorite things on this board is when a poster who typically doesn't post much or maybe is a first time poster brings some really good insight from a first hand experience or a personal connection. It may not be someone who is a master of football Xs and Os, but I love it when a poster sees a game with one of our recruits and posts their observations for example.
I liked Soflo, he had great insight. And his inside info hit enough times to make it as reliable as could be given we are talking about 18-22 year old's and things can change at the drop of a hat.
I didn't follow everything that happened but did see enough to feel it got personal when there was no reason for it to go that far. A big problem in our society is people no longer agree to disagree. Most resort to personal insults and attacks. That's no way to reasonably debate anything.
I am no saint, have been guilty of it on this very board. Most of us can and should do better.
Hope this blows over and he comes back aboard
When I first found this place I just read the stories and got notifications. Later joined the forum and enjoyed the discussions. I quickly figured out that certain posters predictions were pretty spot on. Soflo's comments were a highlight of the forum that I really hate to see go.
I'm an old Dawg and don't contribute much to the forum but appreciate the ones that do.
Social media is a tough bird. Not sure it's a great idea to be able to say stuff that you wouldn't say in person. I just reccomend restraint and respect. It sometimes seems that we got along better when we didn't recruit so well and win so much.
Success can be difficult to handle sometimes. The more we win, the more we hate to lose. IT MUST BE SOMEONE'S FAULT!!! FIRE HIS ASS!!! BENCH HIS ASS!!! I could go on but I digress. I think we were just named the most talented team in the country. But duh, we lack experience at a couple of positions.
Hopefully we will grow as team and win a natty but if we come up a little short, let's don't take it out on each other. Maybe we can also grow as a fanbase and actually learn how to handle success.
Thanks for allowing me to rant. Maybe I won't get banned from the site.
Maybe. /s
