Why did JF loose last Friday night ? He was playing the best def. line in the Georgia. I think he sees the writing on the wall. Go to Florida State OK offensive line prospects or go to Georgia much better offensive line prospects. QB is only as good as his offensive line. He made his mind up after that game.
With Manac gone, I could see Peterson possibly obtaining a scholarship at the end of the 2018 season. Or, KS could use Manac's scholarship and offer it to Peterson.
That's a good one. It makes sense.
But all these little scenarios people are bringing up about what's going on in Justin's head. I think it's more he's just holding back, waiting for a sign to see if anything changes his mind about going to UGA. I'm sure he's got a few scenarios like we come up with that are interesting that he thinks could be tells as to what he's supposed to do. But if he's thinking about something as bold as signing up to be the 3rd elite QB in as many years at UGA, I can't imagine you can specifically quantify exactly what it is you're looking for. It has to be a bunch of things you see.
Losing a big game because your line couldn't protect you could very well be one of those things. It makes sense.
Or maybe he's already gone through that phase I'm talking about. And he silently committed at that dinner with Kirby the other night.
Remember, UGA can only sign 24 this year period and to do that they need 7 early NFL entrants and/or Transfers. This will be 1 of 7 in order that we can get the likes of Anderson, Salyer, Fields etc. We don't need to give that to anyone unless it's a one year deal. I would give Christian Payne a scholarship before Rod or anyone else. I would only do that even if Payne doesn't count against our 24.
While we don't know exactly what is going in JF's head, we do know two things for sure:
1) Kirby is doing everything he possibly can to land this kid
2) JF is very seriously considering UGA
I think regardless of how you feel about where JF is going, the above are your two takeaways. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
