Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

KCP got off to a rough start this season, so this Lakers Championship must be sweet for him. The Lakers were not the most talented team in the Playoffs - they needed strong performances from their supporting cast and Pope really stepped up to provide key buckets and steals that shifted momentum in several games.
Congratulations to KCP and the rest of the Lakers on winning their 17th Championship. Somewhere up in heaven Mamba is smiling.

Meh. The stack-a-squad trend in the NBA has lost my interest entirely. RIP Mamba, but that's about it from me.
Glad they won the summer league championship of 2020.
Congrats to the LA Lakers on their 12th championship!
Nice try, but that's not how titles are measured. If you watched the Playoff's this topic was addressed. The number of titles is calculated not by the city in which the team resides, but at the organization level.
Then retire George Mikan’s number. Until then, they should be only claiming 12.
I think they should retire Mikan's number and Kobe was all for it. Again titles are awarded to the franchise, not the city. So you can protest all you want, the Lakers will be hanging their 17th title banner at the Staples Center and I'll be applauding on my feet!
