We discuss some important stuff here. Let's get after it on an off week...
Publix. Nothing better on the boat after a few beers during the summer!
Publix got my vote but firehouse's meatball sub is pretty dang good.
I like Publix. Good portions and a good roll, but we decided to start using our own condiments: lettuce, tomato, onion, black olives. This is due to the fact that condiments held in those metal storage bins are less than ideal, especially tomatoes. They become soft.
Also like Firehouse subs and not listed, Jimmy Johns. Awesome sub roll and large portions, just a little pricey IMO.
Quiznos
Have some self respect. S/
I went to Quiznos once and they weighed my meat! Very put off by that! I like the gamble of maybe getting someone with a heavy hand!
Also, baldino’s for all my 30339 guys on this forum!
Jersey Mike’s for cold cuts, Firehouse for hot subs. Publix is good too, but Jersey Mike’s is the best.
I’m with you on the FH meatball sub.
Over on Hilton Head there’s a pizza place called Fat Baby’s. They have a delicious sausage parm sub.
I like this place in Waycross called Michael's Deli. Their ham & cheese sub is holy.
WaWa
Go to a dumpy looking deli in the Philly area (especially on the New Jersey side of the river) and order a hoagie. Jersey Mike's might be the closest outside the area.
Piggly Wiggly - The Pig. Not sure how far North they go, but there are several in the LaGrange and Columbus area.
Anyone that hasn’t had the meatball sub at firehouse needs to give it a try. Absolutely amazing.
I voted JM, but I think Baldinos rocks as well.
