Boom!! Ian!
keep dealin, young man
If Anderson doesn't get through 6 innings it will likely be because he loses his release point and throws maybe 20 extra pitches a game. If he keeps all 3 of his plus pitches and controls his release point just a bit more consistently, he could be as good as anybody in the game today.
Agreed ! he got up for that pitch!
I don’t get this new baseball mentality, kid was dealing on the mound and pull him?
I don't recall anybody getting hard contact off him through 5 innings.
Forget having another 300 game winner, 20 game winners may be a thing of the past soon.
I agree. Announcers talking about third time through etc., but he had only thrown mid 70s in number of pitches, And no one had hit anything hard on him.
. Garcia was far more “stressed” than Ian appeared to be.
well, at least he pitched 5 innings.
Go Braves!
The DV child is up late.
Modern baseball is just so weird. Why pull Anderson? He had a no hitter. At least let him try the sixth.
Could be a Houston Asterisks fan
Agreed. Don’t get it with two bullpen games coming!
Agreed. Snit probably didn’t want him to go around that lineup again.
I don’t think Swanson batting over .100. Him and Maldonado might have the same BA.
Probably is.
At least Dansby's defense has held up.
We're extremely thin with just 2 reliable starting pitchers too. Lose Ian and Snitker might have to go out there before the series is over.
That’s why I don’t understand pulling him. Could have pitched the sixth and THEN pinch hit for him. Now Minter is gone.
So what? He hadn’t had any extremely stressful innings. Let him try. Seems analytics has ruined this game.
Minter can probably pitch again in game 4, that is my only explanation for why Anderson would be protected. We have 4 pretty reliable relief pitchers, though Jackson still scares me more than his success rate warrants.
Braves pitching holding up so far. 0 hits given up thru 7.
