- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Biggest college football desert was Sacramento mid 80s. First assignment after UGA. No internet. Ordered Sunday AJC To get college football news. AJC even covered PAC 10 better than west coast papers.
Great sports town for individual participation and Pros. College, no.
AU guy at work always visited my area for SEC convo. When he washed his van he would find a thumb sized UGA sticker. Wonder how that got there?
Best upside surprise was Portland Oregon, 2000s.
Wake up and it’s almost football time as noon games EST means 9:00 am there. Gather at neighbor’s and pop the beers. They road tripped when Oregon played Big 10 OSU. etc
Beavers have some real hate for Ducks. Ducks have Nike money and all who jump on the Bandwagon Without the stars, Beavers can win including 2020.
Some hate for them Dawgs from multiple NW teams means hating Huskies.
Local talent yes. Could stop by local HS while running home from work. No stadium. Just some stands and elevation around field. But you could watch the likes of Ndamukong Suh.
Saturdays in an Diego were pretty cool. I loved eating breakfast at 9 am watching college football.
Two very different Californias. Only made it down to San Diego way a couple of times. Very impressed. Advantage you.
Nashville in 1998. They have complained about Peyton and the heisman to this day. Sports radio is unlistenable.
You deserved combat pay for your time at UF considering all of the automatic weapon fire and a 245lb budding serial killer on the loose.
Funny history story. In 1999 Ga Southern played OSU Beavers. It was a fantastic game and the Beavers squeaked by with a win at the end. Their fans actually rushed the field and tore down the goal posts. Eagles fans kind of joked afterwards "they knew we were Georgia Southern, not Georgia right?".

As a Pac-10 grad I can say that it is entirely possible that they thought it was UGA. Oregon football was simply atrocious in the 80's and 90's. We even made fun of them (the Ducks and Beavers) at WAZZU. The Beavers were particularly bad. They went from 1964 to 1999 without even going to a bowl game. 1999 was when Dennis Erickson took over. They were pretty excited about having a legit championship caliber coach. The Ducks went bowl-less from 1963 to 1989.
Not finding it spelled out but I think in the early 1960s they played a game where neither had a single victory going into the game. There’s also a game about 1962 that they claim is the worst football game ever played. Horrible weather and one team only scored a safety, something like 6 to 2.
Athletics plenty good per capita. Unlike the South, Very Sparse rural populations in the Northwest.
Well Cannot blame them in that last time we played Georgia Southern it was overtime and the last time Ga Southern played the Gators….
That win meant a whole lot to me. Probably less so for Muschamp.
