Let's see. The University of Georgia football team just won a game by 49 points, the starting QB tied a school record with five (5) TD passes -- IN THE FIRST HALF; the defense has given up zero points all year while scoring two TD's of its own; the team is ranked 2nd in the country behind only the defending National Champion -- and yet many UGA (so-called) fans are still complaining. Yes, we ALL AGREE that Stetson Bennett is probably the least talented of UGA's QBs, but the kid is 4-2 as starter, and the two games he lost, he actually had us in the lead, so maybe we should blame the defense. And remember, Bennett gets far fewer reps in practice than the other QB's. Imagine how well he might play if he got his fair share. Many are saying, "Bennett played well and was the right choice for this game, but CKS STILL needs to find a way to play Beck to get him ready for next year." Let next year take care of itself. For all we know, Gunnar Stockton comes in as a freshman and is lights out and starts over both Beck and Vandagriff. Or maybe JT Daniels fools all of us and decides to return. I've decided I'm going to let the coaches coach and I'll just enjoy it. Please, since when is winning -- and winning big -- not good enough for us? If Bennett can keep winning games when called upon, I don't care if the other QBs ever play. And if that means they transfer, then so be it. I think UGA football will survive. Go Dawgs!

So, complaining about anything UGA makes you a "so called fan"? I remember sitting in Sanford complaining that Ray Goff called a timeout against auburn and gave them time to rethink their punt. I believe my exact comment at the time was "that is the kind of decision that gets you fired".

    It did.

As a fan I can complain, I can second guess and I can dislike. I will not boo because I am a fan but as a fan and a booster I am absolutely entitled to complain or be unhappy with any situation that I wish to be unhappy about. That does not in any way diminish my love and support of the players, the coach or the University of Georgia. I have that right as a 40 year booster. Not just fan. Booster.

There are many benefits to blowing out UAB with Stetson Bennett, verses something less ( Carson Beck - Brock Vandergriff ).

Brock Bowers - "For the second game in a row, the freshman tight end led Georgia in receiving yards. He found the end-zone twice, with one of them going for 89 yards." That doesn't happen if Bennett doesn't get the start.

You can bet Oscar Delp is paying close attention and you can bet he likes what he sees. The same goes for any uncommitted Blue-chip receiver that Ga's recruiting. It's one thing to tell recruits, we can use you this way. It's another to prove it with real game evidence.

So many seem to realize the value of developing Beck for next season, yet they seem to be completely over looking the future recruiting bounce from actually displaying an explosive offense.

I think you can accomplish both at the same time. I think that's exactly what was accomplished last Saturday.
