I’m worried as well. Also curious. This is the type of game we should win because of superior talent but that we’ve lost for 40 years. If we win it’s a great sign the program has turned a corner and is a legit contender this season.
All you worry warts not mentioning their QB is making his first SEC road start.
in a VERY loud Sanford Stadium!
And don’t forget what our defense to DJU!
I pretty much think anyone not worrying about Arkansas is nuts.
That includes me as I'm going back and forth a bit between being pretty confidant and pretty worried.
So - question for the board - what would it mean to the Arkansas and Georgia programs to have the game be an upset?
Go, Dawgs!
what our defense did to DJU---sorry
For us to be upset by Arkansas, IMO, would mean that any margin of error is now gone.
I believe it would insure that our players take NO upcoming opponent lightly and completely focus on the task at hand. They would not read or listen to what was being said about them going forward and would be re-invigorated for the tasks at hand-one game at a time.
Going in to the SECCG with one loss and with a win there -- we would still make the playoffs and then we can take it as it comes.
Arkansas would be in the clouds if that happened!
Indeed.
You're putting a pretty good face on it though. Losing to the Razorbacks would be a very bad look for us. We are clearly more talented and deeper. They're an excellent looking and certainly sound 4-0 team, but we have to win the games we're supposed to win. (We all know we have sometimes failed to accomplish said feat to our detriment.)
I'm all for a strong (and growing stronger) Arkansas program but not at our expense. It would hurt us to lose.
Go, Dawgs!
Matt Stinchcomb, Tim Tebow and Finebaum all just said or agreed to......!
Whoever wins the UGA vs Arky game should be number 1, unless Bama boat races Old Mess!
I don't give rankings too much merit, by the midway point and then, maybe!
But to be a 3 score favorite, even as a home team, to a potential #1 team, should tell you all you need to know!
I am pessimist and I usually believe in the 1 bad game issues for the DAWGS!
BUT, this is different, all of it is different! - DAWGS by at least 2 scores and if they turn it over, by a lot more!
Hope I am right, it would be tough to come back and face the wrath of @JimWallace, telling us "I told you so and be heart broken all at the same time!
@pgjackson - you've been kind of quiet, you nervous?
Cant wait to hear the trumpet belt out - The Battle Hymn of the Bulldog Nation, Glory Glory and GO DAWGS!
Most years I’d agree. This year just feels different. We’re good Jim.
Agreed. Their qb will be on his back more than usual. He ain’t ready for this kind of smoke.
Heart breaking for me, too.
Those pundit fellows are given Arkansas a lot of respect. Saying if they beat us they should be number one. Wow!
The Pit Boss has done an admirable job. His team deserves respect.
All that said, Kirby's boys have been practicing not to beat the Razorbacks but to beat everybody. Some of the players have talked about the games being easier than practices. The team had a good scrimmage last Saturday. We can bet they'll be hungry for some BBQ'd Hog come noontime on Saturday.
I'm very aware we can lose this game, but I'm not planning on it.
Go, Dawgs!
Atta boy Mr. JimWallace sir!!
Can you imagine any other opponent we face if we were to lose to the Razorbacks? I pity the poor fools, I really do!
And what about are boys if we lose! Coach would work them! Mm Mm!
Seriously, I think these Dawgs cannot lose this game. It is not in this team’s DNA.
I am really excited about this game!
Go Dawgs!
”our”
I really need to learn to spell check😂
