If he ever gets another one.
WCedartownNWBillyDawg..... or maybe Walter.
I am deeply honored to be mentioned in the same breath.
The Arkansas Hogs are sharpening their tusks as they ride Cinderella's carriage into Athens having already defeated the Aggies and Longhorns to win the title of best team in Texas. Adding a victory over the canines to their winning streak is high on The Pit Boss's bucket list in spite of his admiration for his friend Kirby. That friendship won't stop him from trying his best to move Uga's doghouse to out back near the outhouse. Both teams are riding high, but one is fixing to find out football ain't a storybook. Leonard's Loser, Arkansas.
Go, Dawgs!
I thought it was quite a pleasant surprise not to see 4 threads of him/her asking whatever question popped into their head. That being said, I was curious of the disappearance, at that exact moment I was completely content with the disappearance. Go Dawgs!
A few years ago Georgia was going into Baton Rouge against a good LSU team…..however….no one…absolutely no one….gave LSU a chance. The game really wasn’t that close. Dawgs lose
And there is Texas…..the Horns were pretty good. Not great…but they certainly had some good players. No one on earth gave UT a chance. At least Georgia scored at the end of the game to make it look closer.
Georgia is significantly better than Arkansas. SIGNIFICANTLY. However, Arkansas is very good and capable of beating the Dawgs if Georgia screws around.
There is a psychological advantage for a good team to be told over and over that they can’t win. It’s also a disadvantage for 18-21 yr olds to be told over and over how great they are and how much better they are than the other team.
Saban has mastered the game of Rat Poison….hopefully Georgia is getting better at it as well.
Thanks Tex , I wish I could have put it that well. We don't have to fear if we execute.
I’m worried as well. Also curious. This is the type of game we should win because of superior talent but that we’ve lost for 40 years. If we win it’s a great sign the program has turned a corner and is a legit contender this season.
All you worry warts not mentioning their QB is making his first SEC road start.
in a VERY loud Sanford Stadium!
And don’t forget what our defense to DJU!
I pretty much think anyone not worrying about Arkansas is nuts.
That includes me as I'm going back and forth a bit between being pretty confidant and pretty worried.
So - question for the board - what would it mean to the Arkansas and Georgia programs to have the game be an upset?
Go, Dawgs!
what our defense did to DJU---sorry
For us to be upset by Arkansas, IMO, would mean that any margin of error is now gone.
I believe it would insure that our players take NO upcoming opponent lightly and completely focus on the task at hand. They would not read or listen to what was being said about them going forward and would be re-invigorated for the tasks at hand-one game at a time.
Going in to the SECCG with one loss and with a win there -- we would still make the playoffs and then we can take it as it comes.
Arkansas would be in the clouds if that happened!
Indeed.
You're putting a pretty good face on it though. Losing to the Razorbacks would be a very bad look for us. We are clearly more talented and deeper. They're an excellent looking and certainly sound 4-0 team, but we have to win the games we're supposed to win. (We all know we have sometimes failed to accomplish said feat to our detriment.)
I'm all for a strong (and growing stronger) Arkansas program but not at our expense. It would hurt us to lose.
Go, Dawgs!
Matt Stinchcomb, Tim Tebow and Finebaum all just said or agreed to......!
Whoever wins the UGA vs Arky game should be number 1, unless Bama boat races Old Mess!
I don't give rankings too much merit, by the midway point and then, maybe!
But to be a 3 score favorite, even as a home team, to a potential #1 team, should tell you all you need to know!
I am pessimist and I usually believe in the 1 bad game issues for the DAWGS!
BUT, this is different, all of it is different! - DAWGS by at least 2 scores and if they turn it over, by a lot more!
Hope I am right, it would be tough to come back and face the wrath of @JimWallace, telling us "I told you so and be heart broken all at the same time!
@pgjackson - you've been kind of quiet, you nervous?
Cant wait to hear the trumpet belt out - The Battle Hymn of the Bulldog Nation, Glory Glory and GO DAWGS!
Most years I’d agree. This year just feels different. We’re good Jim.
