Nick Saban: Alabama fed off ‘yummy’ rat poison, ‘changed the picture’ on Georgia QB in 41-24 win

I do not think anyone would argue that Georgia's talent and depth isn't that far off from Alabama's (obviously the QB position notwithstanding). My biggest gripe is that we almost never see a Saban team getting blown out. When they lose, they typical self destruct with turnovers & penalties and still they only manage to lose by a very small margin. Georgia, on the other hand, fully loaded, still gets blown out periodically. And it's just difficult watch at times.

Feel free. You can be tired of it, but it doesn’t mean it’s not true. Those 2 specifically lost the game.

Yes it does when Alabama gets 31 unanswered points in a row in basically one quarter.

It all has to do with the “process” and the culture that results from that as well as the character of the players recruited. Saban is a master in developing the mental aspects of the game . The primary reason is he has his team totally focused on the play that is in front of them, not the next play or the last play. He wants them to win that play. They do not look at the score or how much time is left. Just win this play. This is the Bama culture.

After all this time I still am not sure what Kirby’s culture is. I do know I was concerned when team leaders were talking about winning a national championship back in mid October.

This loss is COMPLETELY on Kirby Smart's shoulders. Michigan beat their rival, we didn't. We are now playing against the top three teams in the country, we can't trip over ourselves like we did against Alabama and win the Natty. Alabama is not better than Georgia is; Nick is better than Kirby. That was proven in Atlanta. Our offense in not as good as our defense. The only way we can make our offense better is to change quarterbacks. Bennett is not a good passer. His receivers make him look good. Saban laid it out. They confused Bennett and prevented him from making decisions before the ball was snapped, and then he was in real trouble. How many third down conversions did we have? How many interceptions were thrown ? Can Kirby recover? Will seniors opt out? Will we ever attract another 5 Star quarterback?
