Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Mods, what's up with the New Post glitch?
I posted the question on the "Ask a Mod" thread in the General section but no response.
Why are my own posts showing up as new unread on every thread? It just started a day or two ago.
Comments
We have no idea. We have nothing to do with the technical aspects of the message board. We didn’t set the bad word filters. We didn’t make the DV view capability go away. We didn’t ruin the board.

Nobody is saying that, but you are as close to people in the know as I can find. Just asking a question. Something changed recently. Thought you might have some insight or be able to point me in the right direction.
For the first time just today, I noticed that a post I made on a DawgNation article was copied to the corresponding forum article.
Also noticed you are not alerted when someone responds to your post.
No. No one alerts us to these things.
When my post is listed as new, I click on the thread, and it is no longer new.
Any suggestions on who to contact with technical questions? There's no "Contact Us" section on DN. Is this a Cox Media thing?
@JeffSentell
I understand the mods are not involved in the IT, but there are some bugs which were introduced a few days ago: 1) my own posts trigger a new post designation, 2) I no longer receive notifications when others comment on or respond to my posts, etc., etc. Something has changed…
Number of views is also glitched… see photo below. ONE view, but 21 comments:
@JeffSentell , any comments? Just wondering because I remember years ago on the old DP forum it would get hacked once in a while and have weird glitches. Sometimes it would shut the whole forum down for a day or two.
Shutdown and restart. 60% of the time, it works every time.
Seriously though - happening to me too.
Reminds me of a joke... condensed version below:
3 Engineers get into a car. Car won't start. Mechanical engineer says "it's probably the engine, let me have a look." The Electrical engineer says, "it's probably the battery, let me check the wires." The computer engineer says "let's all get out and get back in again."
My gut tells me this isn’t a hack or a server reboot issue, but a small coding change. Probably just one line of new code that fails to properly take into account certain segments of the existing code…
