In flight WiFi impossibly slow
So I'm currently on a Japan Airlines flight from Dallas to Tokyo and purchased their max $18 full-flight Wi-Fi package. I know having the internet on an airplane over the middle of the Pacific Ocean is a miracle of science and technology.....however, it is barely sufficient to be considered internet service. It's like 1MB. Forget about watching the games today. It's just too slow to stream anything. I can check scores and post here. That's about it.
So, if you are ever on an international flight and think you will have Wi-Fi to watch the games, think again.

Have a safe flight. May have to watch several movies instead. I know I've seen my shares of movies and The Office reruns on my flights to Tokyo or Seoul.
@pgjackson Have a safe trip, Dawg bro!
GO DAWGS!
Yeah, that signal has a long way to travel. Maybe it will get better at some point. Hope you enjoy safe travels.
@pgjackson You might can stream a radio signal for the game.
I can't find anything. I have to bounce back and forth between the ESPN game tracker and the DN forum. This blows...
At least it's the Vandy game.
Surprised they don’t have satellite tv on the flight.
You would think. I went with Japan Airlines because I figured they would have top notch Wi-Fi and entertainment. I assumed I would be able to stream the games. Not so. Terrible Wi-Fi and the movie selection is awful. They don't even have poker in the games section. I probably won't fly JAL next time I go to Okinawa (I go there once a year for work).
Oh, did I mention that masks are mandatory? Yep. You have to be fully vaccinated with at least one booster to even go to Japan.....and they STILL make you wear a mask on the flight.
The only thing you missed was a thriller Bama/UT game.
It's a Bird thing over there, they never forget!
Safe Travels!
