Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

"the fact that the Conference Championship game is just a game - the winner adds no value to their resume" is in fact not a fact according to the CFP webpage.Rankings criteria
So being a conference champion does have weight. If UGA, MI/OSU, TCU, Cle and USC win out it will make it difficult for the committee to include TN. Leaving out 2 conference champions with 1 loss will put an unwelcome spotlight on the committee.
Chaos will ensue should LSU win the SEC. In that case the SEC could be completely left out should the others win out. OR LSU could be the 1st 2 loss team to make the CFBPO. And the SEC could get 2 teams in. A lot of money at stake for the conferences. Watch the conference refs in the conference championship games.
Exactly! The metrics change every week or even based on which team they want to justify including. First it was TN and OSU due to their explosive offenses. Then UGA is the death star because they shut down one of the so-called explosive offenses. What's next?
There will be no red and black drama if we don't squander the fact that we have full control of our own destiny. Georgia simply needs to stay completely focused and take care of this week's business... anything less could be a huge mistake... the rest will take care of itself in due time. Go Dawgs!
Lol...no, they don't.
IMO...They pick the 4 teams, they want to see in the CFP, tailoring their picks in order to achieve the preferred matchups in the Semi's.
THEN...They justify it, by any criteria necessary. It's obvious, they don't really know what the hell they're doing and I'm not sure they care. As long as their picks are "politically correct", they'll pump it out, explain it ...straying as far from logic as possible. Go collect their money...
AND....We,The Fans, and all the hard-working, deserving "Players and Coaches" have to live with it. UGA came out on the short-end against Oklahoma (or OSU...don't remember) in 2018. I suspect Tennessee will come out on the short-end in 2022. Or...Not...Lol.
It's almost getting to be like an Ice Skating or Gymnastics competition, where you may face an all-Soviet Judging Panel. Oh, sorry...that was last Century. LOL. This Panel could be highly sympathetic to the BIG10 or ACC (Clemson ???...C'mon) or ESPN. We'll see.
The trial is still going on...testimony is still being given. We'll send the Jury out, 2 weeks.
You just proved my point.
Go, Dawgs!
"Chaos will ensue should LSU win the SEC. In that case the SEC could be completely left out."
That'll NEVER happen, as long as ESPN has a say. They own the SEC and it's Network. Consider the size of that company...owned by Disney...and the tentacles it has in every facet of College Sports.
There's no way, they're going to pay 100's of Millions of dollars, only to wind up with a "TCU vs LSU" or Clemson or Oregon. Who'll be "sittin' on the edge of their seat", waiting for that one? LOL
Nope...I think we all know who the best teams are, by now.
😁👍
