Georgia teammates come to defense of Jalen Carter after Todd McShay report
Usually, we have to wait until April for draft analysts to start throwing around character concerns with regards to prospects.
Comments
Just unbelievable !!
This man, who somehow has become an “expert”, who allegedly has some influence on how the public perceives the draft positioning of these players, says something out loud as if it’s gospel and has no accountability! I sure am not aware of any “character” issues of J. Carter!
Great to see Carter’s teammates speak out!
Just another ESPN idiot attempting to be relevant.
So, mcshay asks "does he get along...what's he like in the locker room..." Did he bother to look into these questions? Apparently not. I have to ask "does mcshay have serious psychological issues? " This is something that needs to be explored further by somebody else.
Those who are actually in the same locker room have nothing but good things to say about Carter.
Jalen could've just taken a seat after he was injured by a dirty hit that caused a knee injury, but unlike so many in today's times, he decided to finish the season. Jalen has next to nothing to gain by finishing the season, and that shows a very unselfish character.
Todd McShay needs to do a retraction on his irresponsible accusations.
Someone is just trying to make sure Will Anderson gets drafted before Carter. Or even trying to keep a UGA player out of #1
"ESPN’s Todd McShay shared a bit of intel with regards to star defensive tackle Jalen Carter and how some NFL teams, according to the always anonymous scouts, have some worries about Carter and how he might fit in a locker room."
Irresponsible journalism continues to be the business model for ESPN. Anonymous sources seem to be used as a license for reporting gossip and speculation in today's media, and ESPN seems to have mastered this technique.
GO DAWGS!
JC had the minor pre-game dust-up with the Mizzou gang. Granted, it wasn't a good look, and he surely learned from it. But you won't find a meaningful piece of data from any credible source that says JC's not a stand-up guy and consummate teammate that any coach or player wouldn't want in their system. Keep chopping JC, as you've always done... the rest will take care of itself. Go Dawgs!
Where are you Coach Smart and Coach Scott?
McShay & Kiper...also known as Heckle & Jeckle...are a joke, ESPN started playing on the gullible public, back in the '90's. They did it to create controversy...in other words, to create "news" so that they would have something to talk about, 24/7.
I wonder who paid McShay to say that. Which team was trying to scare the other team(s) off?. Pulled the same crap on Nakobe Dean, earlier this year. Somebody is pulling some strings here.
Irresponsible journalism is right!
And then the fact that it is put on Dawgnation for click bait and recognition makes it even worse.
It should be completely ignored and not commented on any further.
McShay is straight trash.
These “sports reporters” did this to Jake Fromm a couple of years ago, along with that DB that drafted to NY. This stuff is tabloid trash.
Period.
When he started the fight before a game this year I realized he does have issues. He's either a bully, immature or both.
I don't know if Kirby allowed McShay into Georgia's locker room. If he has not been in the locker room, how can he speak about his character? Has McShay sat down and talked to Jalen Carter personally? How can he comment on his character? Why do reporters on Dawgnation post outsiders' comment that talks about the program and players negatively that have no merit.
Couldn't agree more with the DN posters below... this is borderline despicable, and definitely poor journalistic standards.
Only "silver lining" (possibly?): maybe this is even MORE "rat poison" for CKS et al to leverage and show how a high character, trust-in-each-other team proves these guys wrong ON THE FIELD by winning a second Natty 😁
