Not sure how in the world this article could be taken as any type of negative piece on Monken - matter of fact it is justifiably glowing. He has been a great O coordinator and really would love him to stay but let’s face it, the life of an NFL O coordinator is all football and none of the recruiting, etc that can drive college coaches crazy. He will definitely be missed and I have no doubt the next one will also do well. Bobo grew up quite a bit under Richt and he was a solid coordinator, particularly in his latter years. Hoping he stays but wishing him the best of luck regardless. Go DAWGS

If the money and the challenge of winning 3 straight national championships isn't enough to keep him at UGA, then we should be glad he leaves. With the money UGA has spent on staff, we could poach another program's OC without a problem. I don't think Bobo is the only one that would be in the mix.

I hope everyone will try and enjoy the back to back championships. I know I am.

Few here knew who CTM was when he joined the staff. It would be great if he stays, but don’t kid yourself. If he moves on, nearly every hotshot offensive and passing game coordinator in football will have their resume in Kirby’s inbox by the next morning.

I’m definitely not losing sleep over Monken. I want him to stay, but I think we will be just fine if we need to hire a new OC. Besides, Stetson Bennett carried Monken the past 3 years so he’s due to fall now that the Mailman has delivered and moved on. OK, I’m just trying to get MG’s feathers ruffled 😉. Speaking of ruffled feathers, imagine how the “North Avenue Bugs” would react if we hired Buster Faulkner back. Go Dawgs!!!

I hope Monken stays as he's been a great O coordinator but coaches, like players come and go. After 2 national championships, he's got momentum and recent success that he could use to leverage another quality job if he wants. Whether he leaves this week or in a few years, one day he will leave and I will wish him the best.....just as I do all of the new players that commit to Georgia, the one's that depart via the portal, and the one's that leave for the NFL.

I would hate to see Monken leave, not just because he has developed a successful offense at Georgia, but because the players would potentially have to learn an entirely different offensive scheme. It took 3 years for Bennett to fully understand Monken's offense.
