Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Are we talking about the best bar to watch a game in or the best bar to go out to on a Saturday night after a Georgia win?
I think it's just the best overall bar.
Papa Joe's when it was across from Guthries.
Guthrie's is where I went the morning after going to City Bar
I'm with the younger generation, so I lean towards the bars with the better party atmosphere. Hedges for me is my favorite due to the fact I know most of the staff and get a few freebies throughout the night.
Pretty much what this thread is all about. I'm from the "somewhat" older generation where we virtually had about 10 or less bars in Athens and a few on the outskirts of town. So I really can't contribute to what's this best these days...
I just turned 21 a few months ago, but my ID says I've been 21 for a few years now haha it's always good to be at a bar watching a game with the older crowd though!
I wish I could answer which bar in Athens is the best. It would mean I was young enough to know
You're welcome to join a good ol' bar crawl after any game or any given weekend
Now that is an in depth analysis...even if it didn't stay within the OP guidelines! Nicely done!

GA Bar is closed FYI:(
Nowhere used to be home. Loved that place being the dive that it is. Many many fun nights I will never remember there.
Youre truly terrible at following the rules.
