Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I think it’s interesting because it’s a no-strings, no caveats, but if praise for Stetson… from ESPN, which has cast a good deal of doubt his way over the past few years.
Good point!
I mostly agree—except that I don’t think it is a foregone conclusion that our next QB will be elite. The prognosis, however, certainly seems favorable!
I look for a big shift in offensive philosophy, during the course of the season. 1 of the 3 QBs will start to separate himself, this Spring. By the time fall practice gets here...Bobo will have a season strategy laid out.
I suspect. It's gonna be a pro-style spread, with Beck slinging it downfield 5 or 6 times per game, to the likes of Bowers, Smith, Lovett and McConkey. Think 2019 LSU Offense, when you think about the 2023 Dawgs. Lol
"My bet is the starting QB position won't be finalized until after the season starts."
I agree with you, there. In fact...we may see all 3 of them, at some point during the season. I believe Beck will kickoff the season...but, depending on his "fall practice" and scrimmage performance, that could easily change.
So far, Beck's looked pretty good...but, I haven't seen the others perform and the "sample size" on Him is small. So, take that with a grain of salt. Lol
Replacing the QB is ALWAYS the biggest question. Especially replacing an effective QB with an unproven QB. There is an old adage in football. The QB gets too much credit for team success and too much blame for team failure.
But success or failure, the QB is integral. Of course it helps to play at RBU, have a Joe Moore OL, the best TE's in CFB and elite WR's.
Most (if not all) UGA fans loved SBIV's skill set. Yet BVG (essentially SBIV on steroids) is picked to finish 3rd by most of the Dawgnation writers and fans comments I've read here (on Dawgnation). I find that interesting and puzzling.
One of the stories today had video of every CBeck play. After watching it I still think BVG has the highest ceiling of the 3 QB's.
I admit that it was a thumbs up to stetson importance. But didn't 4 MVPs in 4 playoff games do that? I'm not arguing with the article, just the headline.
