- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

We shall treat the young pitcher rudely.
I'm all for it.
I couldn't believe my eyes. 6-0 Braves after one. I thought I was looking at last night's game. Two homeruns, 2 singles, 2 doubles before the first out. This is starting to get scary.
Knocked the Marlins best pitcher out in 1/3 of an inning and only 8 batters.

Just looked up the average OPS for major league hitters - it was around .730/ No Brave is that low. 3 starters are in the upper .700s and the rest are in the .800's and .900s. - the entire lineup is well above average. That was pretty startling - since it includes Eddie Rosario and Michael Harris and Marcel Ozuna - all of whom got off to horrendous starts.
Braves SWEEP Fish!!!! This time they score late to warp up a fish sweep!!!
BREAKING:
We have figured out why the Braves are so good.
Best answer I have seen to date!!
Go Braves!
Coming into the home stretch for the first half of the season…..three against the Guardians and three against the Rays….
The only troubling thing is that The Braves (with the best winning percentage in the major leagues and riding an eight game winning streak) are settling up Strider to pitch against the Rays and that may preclude him from pitching in the all-star game depending on the date pitched…
Speaking of the all-star game…..the Braves are sending EIGHT players ….the second most all time in Braves franchise history!!
Acuna, Murphy and Arcia are starters…Olson, Albies and Riley on the bench and Strider and Elder pitching!
Several great stories there….Murphy , Arcia and Elder for the first time, Acuna the top vote getter and, best one—our entire infield, Riley, Arcia, Albies, Olson and Murphy are all going!
Wouldn’t it be great if they were all in the game at the same time with Strider or Elder pitching!? Not likely, I know but it would be cool! 😎
What a year to be a Braves fan!!! 🤣
In addition, Braves coaching staff has been stable for several years and includes a couple ex managers that apparently the players respect. Nothing quite like team management getting carried away with anal litics. lol
Approaching anniversary of 1985 braves/mets 19 inning game. Anyone on site that attended game? We went to a lot of the July 4 games/fireworks shows, but this was one I missed. Naturally would be against the hated mets.
The Braves front office uses analytics heavily. Wasn't always that way but it for sure is now.
The Rays do it better than anyone. It's why they kick the crap out of teams like the Yankees and Red Sox with a payroll 10 times lower. Analytics.
Math doesn't have biases or other human failings. It just is.
How many World Series have the Rays won using these analytics?
Rays have done fairly well given they spend a fraction of what the big market teams do. This year they are spending about 75% less than the Yankees and Mets. 62% less than the Braves.
