Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I never even think about it unless someone brings it up. The games just seem to flow, to me, with or without the clock. I am/was against it - I love baseball, especially live. Why would I want to shorten an enjoyable experience. Kind of like sex right - you need to finish in x minutes or you'll be penalized. No thanks.
pitch clock is great but my favorite new rule is eliminating the shifts. I have to do a double take when I see a clean single up the middle.
I know, right? I agree 1000%!!!
So much better to see the infielders actually defend their position!!
Go Braves!
Return to real baseball, maybe we want see hitter after hitter striking out trying to get to 20 home runs.
Agreed!!
Nothing at all wrong with station to station baseball ..... and the limitations requiring two infielders on each side of second base should bolster that type of play!
Go Braves!
I can remember when it wasn't a limitation to have 2 infielders on each side of second base. It was just the way the game was played. Before folks with thick glasses and calculators/computers started tracking every conceivable statistic.
Hey, Braves fans, the radio announcers, Ben Ingram and Joe Simpson, just stated that Andruw Jones is FINALLY getting his #25 retired by the Braves on September 9th at Truist Park!
Well-deserved and long time in coming!
Greatest Brave center fielder I’ve ever seen in my lifetime!
and, as an aside, , my personal favorite Braves player as a kid, Rico “the Beeg Boy” Carty, also wore #25……so there you go!
I’m actually not a fan of retiring numbers. I’m prob in the minority on this one.
You play for a team like the Yankees and so many good numbers aren’t available. That would be annoying as a player.
Booo!
🤣
I know I know. But what if the next Braves CF from Curaçao could carry on his legacy. I like stuff like that better. Simple mind over here. If you ain’t playing anymore why take up a number.
Two words ……. two simple words …
Henry “Hammerin’ Hank” Aaron!!
okay, that was four words!
Pretty soon the Yankees will have to use triple digits for players. Pretty sure none of the single digits are available now.
Yeah, I think that is their narcissistic ploy….to fill up their “garden” with statues and retired numbers…
Exactly. Not sustainable
Unless your the next player to get his number retired… cough, cough … Aaron Judge … cough, cough
