Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

GO DAWGS!!!
I get that almost all of these cross over into the motivational quotes category, but that IS WHAT FOOTBALL COACHES ARE - THEY ARE THE MOTIVATORS.
Not really a football quote, but it still applies.
Another from my old coach" stumble, fumble, fart, and fall." After any fumble.
One of my HS football coaches (he was also a former US Marine) - "WELL, ANY DAY SWEETHEART!!!!"
I wonder if coaches are allowed to call players "ladies" any more. Man, that was a definite go-to insult back in the day.
I heard My HS Coach say the classic line my freshman year……
”You know what happens when you ASSUME. dontcha?….You make an A$$ out of U and Me!” while drawing it on the blackboard for emphasis! 🤣
Our line coach’s favorite derogatory word was calling us “Nabobs!” Never knew what that meant…🤔
And finally, during film session on Sundays after the Friday loss….our HC would say “The big in the sky don’t lie!” ….followed by an a$$ chewin!😎
I think nabobs is a pejorative form of Kabobs.
Okay, thanks, now I have to look up “perjorative”….🤪
I know you know what pejorative means...you am a edukated man.
You are correct …. I R one…..🤣🤣😎!
Not a football phrase, but those who followed SEC basketball 🏀 in the 70s and 80s will remember the legendary Joe Dean coining the phrases “String Music” for a long swished shot and “Stufferino” for a slam dunk.
True Story: My brother’s roommate Sam at Auburn once found Joe Dean’s pen (his name was inscribed) at the old AU coliseum after a game. When he returned to broadcast another home game, Sam went down by the scorers table and got Joe’s attention during a timeout and returned the pen to him! There are good fans out there on every team (except maybe Florida).
@TurkDawg yes sir!!! You are correct also with the not being any “good” kind of Florida fan!!! Their delusion is so very close in it’s nonsense to the other annoying fans of those extra irritating Tennessee VOLTARDS!!! Both kinds of orange just sicken me!! I mean, who is worse?? They ALL S-U-C-K!!!
